Expertly designed, these devices are strategically deployed either on the high-voltage flank of distribution transformers or as vital links in distribution lines. They are indispensable guardians against transformer and line short circuits, overloads, and assist in the opening and co-loading of current. Ingeniously engineered, the drop-out fuse features an insulating bracket and meticulously crafted fuse tubes with static contacts precisely affixed at both bracket ends, while moving contacts secure the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube construction is both robust and reliable, comprising an inner arc tube paired with a durable outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy glass cloth tube. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse offers enhanced operational flexibility with auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, specifically tailored for seamless current load handling.

During typical operations, the drop-out fuse remains firmly secured in a closed position, ensuring the fuse tube is consistently tensioned. Upon any system anomaly, the fault current instantly causes the fuse to blow, producing an arc that activates the arc tube. This rapid reaction leads to the decomposition of substantial gas volumes, instigating high pressure within the tube and creating an impressive vertical wind pathway that swiftly elongates the arc. Once the fuse has blown, the moving contact releases its grip and rotates outward, while the locking mechanism disengages, permitting the fuse tube to drop into a definitive breaking position. In load-pulling scenarios, an insulating rod is utilized to strategically pull the moving contact, maintaining engagement with the static contact. In areas where the standards provide limited definitions for essential parameters and configurations, modifications are made following the JB/DQ2139-1986 interim technology requirements for 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses, ensuring superior performance and compliance.
The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout stand as premier outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Purpose-built to connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they are a pivotal defense against transformer and line short circuits, overload conditions, and proficiently manage on/off load current. The drop-out fuse cutout incorporates insulating insulator supports and a sturdy fuse tube, with static contacts diligently fixed on both sides of the insulator support, while moving contacts are strategically mounted at the ends of the fuse tube. Its state-of-the-art fuse tube boasts an internal arc-extinguishing tube and a resilient outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is further enhanced with fortified elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, expertly designed for efficient on-off load current switching.

In regular operational instances, the fuse link is expertly designed to ensure the fuse tube is meticulously tightened, sustaining a closed position. When faults arise, the fault current rapidly melts the fuse, creating a powerful electric arc. This initiates the arc-extinguishing tube to heat and release an impressive volume of gas, generating high pressure that extends the arc throughout the tube. Following the melting of the fuse link, the moving contact loses tension, unlocking the mechanism and allowing the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning smoothly to an open position. For load switching during cutout, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to tactfully pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains interconnected with the auxiliary static contact. As further pulling occurs, an electric arc develops between the auxiliary contacts, which is elongated within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism efficiently expels gas to extinguish the arc as the current passes through zero, culminating in a seamless and secure operation.
