Structure
High voltage switchgear: Typically comprises a busbar room, circuit breaker room, secondary control room (also known as the instrument room), feeder room, among others. Each compartment is thoughtfully segregated with steel partitions. For instance, in the KYN28A-12 model, the top section houses the instrument room, the middle section accommodates the circuit breaker room, while the lower section contains the cable room.
Low voltage switchgear: Categorized based on component installation as either fixed or drawer type. The drawer type switchgear is characterized by a sturdy fixed cabinet body paired with a dynamic movable device component.
Internal Components

Classification is based on numerous factors: installation method of the circuit breaker (movable and fixed types); cabinet structure (open, metal enclosed, and metal enclosed armored types); voltage levels (high-voltage switchgear above AC1000V and low-voltage switchgear below AC1000V); voltage waveform (AC switchgear and DC switchgear); and purpose (incoming cabinets, outgoing cabinets, metering cabinets, compensation cabinets, etc.).
