The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse is distinguished by its enhanced versatility, boasting auxiliary contacts and an arc chute deliberately crafted for smooth load operations.
In standard conditions, the drop-out fuse is firmly locked in a closed state with the fuse tube perfectly tensioned. When system faults occur, the fault current swiftly blows the fuse, initiating an arc. This powerful arc activates the arc tube, causing the decomposition of large gas volumes and generating high pressure to create a vertical wind path that expertly stretches and elongates the arc. As the fuse blows, the moving contact gracefully releases, rotating outward while the locking mechanism disengages, allowing the fuse tube to drop and achieve a decisive breaking position. The load switching fuse cutout also includes enhanced, flexible auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for efficient on-off load current switching.
In typical operational scenarios, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains securely closed. Upon encountering faults, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc that ignites and heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing substantial gas volumes and creating high pressure to elongate the arc within the tube. After melting, the moving contact loses tension, allowing the mechanism to unlock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning smoothly to an open position. For cutout load switching, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further extracted, an electric arc forms between them, elongating within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism expels gas to efficiently extinguish the arc as the current reaches through zero.
