Crafted with precision, the drop-out fuse features an insulating bracket and fuse tubes, accented by static contacts securely anchored at each end and moving contacts gracefully affixed to the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube is designed with a sophisticated inner arc tube and a robust outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy glass cloth tube. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse is distinguished by its enhanced versatility, boasting auxiliary contacts and an arc chute deliberately crafted for smooth load operations.
In standard conditions, the drop-out fuse is firmly locked in a closed state with the fuse tube perfectly tensioned. When system faults occur, the fault current swiftly blows the fuse, initiating an arc. This powerful arc activates the arc tube, causing the decomposition of large gas volumes and generating high pressure to create a vertical wind path that expertly stretches and elongates the arc. As the fuse blows, the moving contact gracefully releases, rotating outward while the locking mechanism disengages, allowing the fuse tube to drop and achieve a decisive breaking position. For load pulling, an insulating rod is employed to draw out the moving contact while maintaining connectivity with the static contact. With continued force, auxiliary contacts separate, generating an arc between them that stretches within the hood slit. Deliberately designed to connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they play a pivotal role in safeguarding transformers and lines from short circuit incidents and overload conditions while expertly managing the on/off load current. The drop-out fuse cutout comprises sturdy insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts firmly fixed on both sides and moving contacts skillfully installed at the fuse tube's ends. The fuse tube features an advanced internal arc-extinguishing tube paired with an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout also includes enhanced, flexible auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for efficient on-off load current switching.
In typical operational scenarios, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains securely closed. Upon encountering faults, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc that ignites and heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing substantial gas volumes and creating high pressure to elongate the arc within the tube. After melting, the moving contact loses tension, allowing the mechanism to unlock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning smoothly to an open position. For cutout load switching, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further extracted, an electric arc forms between them, elongating within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism expels gas to efficiently extinguish the arc as the current reaches through zero.
