The Drop-out Fuse and Pull Load Drop-out Fuse represent the pinnacle of outdoor high-voltage electrical protection solutions. These meticulously engineered devices are strategically deployed on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or as essential components within distribution lines. They provide indispensable protection against transformer and line short circuits, as well as overload conditions, while facilitating smooth current interruption and load handling. The drop-out fuse showcases a sophisticated structure featuring an insulating bracket and fuse tubes, with securely affixed static contacts at both ends of the bracket and strategically positioned moving contacts at the ends of the fuse tube. This advanced design incorporates an inner arc tube paired with an outer phenolic paper or epoxy glass cloth tube for enhanced durability. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse is engineered for superior adaptability, equipped with auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, ensuring flawless current management under load conditions.
During regular operations, the drop-out fuse remains securely locked in a closed position, thanks to the tensioned fuse tube. In the event of a system fault, the fault current rapidly melts the fuse, leading to the formation of an arc. This arc triggers the arc tube to ignite, resulting in the decomposition of substantial gas volumes, which in turn creates high pressure within the tube and generates a powerful vertical wind path. This sophisticated mechanism effectively stretches and elongates the arc to mitigate its effects. Upon fuse operation, the moving contact releases its tension, pivoting outward, while the locking mechanism disengages, allowing the fuse tube to drop and switch to an open position. When load handling is required, an insulating rod is utilized to operate the moving contact, maintaining its engagement with the static contact. With further operation, the auxiliary contacts separate, forming an arc between them that is deliberately elongated within the hood slit. The arc cover, containing gas, facilitates efficient arc extinguishment as the current approaches zero.
Use and Standards
This exceptional product is expertly crafted for optimal performance in 10 to 35KV distribution lines, including branching lines and the primary side of distribution transformers. The rigorous design of this product aligns with the JB/T8321-1996 Method for AC high-voltage fuse preparation guidelines, with its parameters adhering to the GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses Expulsion fuses standards. In situations where standards do not specify critical parameters and configurations in detail, adjustments are made in accordance with the JB/DQ2139-1986 interim technology requirements for 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses.

These cutting-edge solutions are designed to connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, playing a vital role in shielding transformers and lines from short circuit occurrences and overload situations while adeptly handling on/off load current. The drop-out fuse cutout is composed of insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts securely anchored on both sides of the insulator support and moving contacts precisely installed at the ends of the fuse tube. The innovative design of the fuse tube includes an internal arc-extinguishing tube along with a sturdy outer phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout also features enhanced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for efficient on-off load current management.
Under normal operational conditions, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube is securely tensioned to maintain a closed position. When faults arise, the fault current instantly causes the fuse to melt, creating an electric arc. This process ignites the arc-extinguishing tube, which releases a significant volume of gas, generating high pressure and extending the arc lengthwise throughout the tube. After the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, permitting the mechanism to disengage and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning to an open position. For load switching during cutout procedures, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to engage the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further manipulated, an electric arc forms between the auxiliary contacts, extending within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas to efficiently extinguish the arc as the current approaches zero.
