The drop-out fuse and pull-load drop-out fuse serve as paramount outdoor high-voltage protection mechanisms, integral to safeguarding electrical systems. These fuses are strategically positioned on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or as a supportive link within distribution lines, expertly shielding transformers and lines from short circuits, overloads, and enabling efficient current interruption. Crafted meticulously, the drop-out fuse features an insulating bracket and fuse tubes, with static contacts firmly affixed at both ends of the bracket, and moving contacts securely positioned on the fuse tube ends. The innovative fuse tube consists of an ingeniously designed inner arc tube and an exterior crafted from superior phenolic paper or epoxy glass cloth. The pull-load drop-out fuse further enhances flexibility with its auxiliary contacts and sophisticated arc chute, optimizing current interruption and ensuring safety.

During regular operations, the drop-out fuse maintains a closed position, secured by the tension in the fuse tube. However, when a system fault occurs, the fault current swiftly triggers the fuse to blow, creating an arc. This arc is met with the tube's robust arc-extinguishing capabilities, generating a substantial amount of gas that escalates pressure, propelling the arc along the tube. This rapid elongation quashes the arc, leaving the moving contact without tension. Consequently, the locking mechanism releases, allowing the fuse tube to drop, thus achieving a complete disconnection. For load operations, an insulating rod is utilized to pull the moving contact, ensuring that the main and static contacts remain engaged initially. Use and Standards
This innovative product is adeptly designed for application within 10 to 35KV distribution lines, branching lines, and on the primary side of distribution transformers. It excels in providing reliable overload and short circuit protection, as well as facilitating the seamless separation and combination of rated load currents.
The product model conforms to the rigorous standards set by JB/T8321-1996 for AC high-voltage fuses. Furthermore, it adheres to the GB15166.3-1994 expulsion fuse standards, although these standards do not explicitly define all critical parameters and configurations. Any necessary adjustments are made in alignment with the interim technical requirements of JB/DQ2139-1986 for 10 to 35KV outdoor high-voltage drop fuses, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
Both the drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are expertly engineered as high voltage protective devices for outdoor use. They are designed to connect with incoming feeder lines of distribution transformers or distribution networks, offering robust protection against transformer or line short circuits and overloads, and ensuring efficient load current operations.
