General
Introducing our cutting-edge Drop-out Fuse and Pull Load Drop-out Fuse, engineered for superior outdoor high-voltage electrical protection. Specifically designed for installation at the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or within the Support Link of distribution lines, these fuses provide robust protection against short circuits and overloads. Our Drop-out Fuse features an insulating bracket and a fuse tube with strategically placed static and moving contacts. The fuse tube is composed of an inner arc tube and an outer casing, which can be made of phenolic paper or epoxy glass cloth. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse is enhanced with flexible auxiliary contacts and an arc chute to manage current co-loads efficiently.

During normal operation, the Drop-out Fuse forms a closed position, maintained by the tension of the fuse tube. In the event of a system fault, the fault current quickly blows the fuse and generates an arc. The arc heats the arc tube, releasing significant gas that creates high pressure and vertical wind within the tube, effectively elongating and extinguishing the arc. Once the fuse blows, the moving contact loses tension and disengages, triggering the locking mechanism and releasing the fuse tube, which drops to indicate an open position. For load handling, use an insulating rod to pull the moving contact, separating it from the static contact. This action stretches an arc between auxiliary contacts, which is then extinguished as gas within the arc cover acts when the current reaches zero.

Use and Standards
Designed for 10 ~ 35KV distribution lines and transformer primary sides, this product offers reliable overload and short circuit protection, ensuring safe load separation and combination at rated currents.
Our product adheres to JB/T8321-1996 standards for AC high-voltage fuses and is crafted in compliance with GB15166.3-1994 standards for expulsion fuses. Where these standards lack specificity, adjustments are made in accordance with JB/DQ2139-1986 for 10 ~ 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses, ensuring up-to-date technical excellence.
The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are advanced outdoor high voltage protective devices. Ideal for connection with incoming feeder lines of distribution transformers or lines, they safeguard against transformer or line short circuits and overloads, while managing on/off load current seamlessly. The Drop-out Fuse Cutout is constructed with insulator supports and a fuse tube featuring static contacts on either side. Moving contacts are fitted to the ends of the fuse tube, which includes an arc-extinguishing tube and an outer structure made from phenolic paper or epoxy glass. Our load switching fuse cutouts come with additional elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for proficient current management.

In standard operations, the fuse tube, secured by a fuse link, maintains a closed position. Upon system faults, the fault current melts the fuse, creating an electric arc that heats and expands the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing gases to generate high pressure and extinguish the arc. When the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, triggering the mechanism to release the fuse tube, moving the cutout to an open position. For load switching, use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary contacts remain connected. As the pulling continues, separation of auxiliary contacts occurs, forming an arc that is elongated within the arc-extinguishing enclosure, where gases extinguish the arc as the current passes zero.
