The drop-out fuse cutout comprises robust insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts securely fixed on both sides and moving contacts expertly installed at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube features a sophisticated internal arc-extinguishing tube paired with an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. Additionally, the load switching fuse cutout includes enhanced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for efficient on-off load current switching.
In typical operational scenarios, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains tightly closed. Upon encountering faults, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing substantial gas volumes and creating high pressure to elongate the arc within the tube. Post-melting, the moving contact loses tension, allowing the mechanism to unlock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning to an open position. For cutout load switching, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further pulled, an electric arc forms between them, elongating within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism expels gas to efficiently extinguish the arc as the current traverses zero.
