The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse distinguishes itself with superior flexibility, featuring auxiliary contacts and an arc chute exquisitely crafted for seamless current load operations.
During standard operations, the drop-out fuse remains securely locked in a closed position, with the fuse tube precisely tensioned. In typical operational scenarios, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains tightly closed. When faults are encountered, the fault current melts the fuse swiftly, generating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing substantial gas volumes and creating high pressure to elongate the arc within the tube. Post-melting, the moving contact releases tension, enabling the mechanism to unlock and the fuse tube to drop, transitioning to an open position. For cutout load switching, operators wield an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further withdrawn, an electric arc forms between them, elongating within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap.
