With an innovative design, the drop-out fuse features an insulating bracket and fuse tubes that securely hold static contacts at both ends, elegantly attached to moving contacts at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube incorporates an advanced inner arc tube paired with a durable outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy glass cloth tube. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse is particularly renowned for its enhanced versatility, boasting auxiliary contacts and a meticulously crafted arc chute to facilitate smooth current load transitions.
During normal operations, the drop-out fuse remains securely in a closed position, with the fuse tube under precise tension. When system faults arise, the fault current swiftly activates, blowing the fuse and initiating an arc. This robust arc ignites the arc tube, decomposing a substantial volume of gas to create high pressure within the tube, forging a vertical wind path that skillfully stretches and elongates the arc. As the fuse blows, the moving contact gracefully rotates outward, disengaging the locking mechanism and allowing the fuse tube to drop into a definitive breaking position. When load pulling is necessary, an insulating rod is used to draw out the moving contact while maintaining linkage with the static contact. With continuous force, the auxiliary contacts separate, generating an arc that stretches within the hood slit. The drop-out fuse cutout comprises robust insulating supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts strategically fixed on both sides and moving contacts expertly affixed at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube features a sophisticated internal arc-extinguishing tube, complemented by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout also incorporates high-performance, elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for efficient on-off load current switching.
In typical operational scenarios, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains tightly closed. Upon encountering faults, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing substantial volumes of gas and creating high pressure to elongate the arc within the tube. Once melted, the moving contact loses tension, allowing the mechanism to unlock, and the fuse tube to gracefully drop out, transitioning to an open position. For cutout load switching, operators deftly utilize an insulating operating bar to draw the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further pulled, an electric arc forms between them, extending within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism expels gas to efficiently extinguish the arc as the current passes through zero.
