General
The drop-out fuse and pull load drop-out fuse are indispensable outdoor high-voltage protective devices, meticulously engineered to safeguard electrical infrastructures. They are typically positioned either at the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or strategically integrated into distribution lines. Their primary function is to offer robust protection against transformer and line short circuits, as well as overloads, while adeptly managing the open-circuit load currents. These fuses are comprised of an insulating bracket and fuse tubes; the static contact is securely fastened to both ends of the insulation bracket, whereas the moving contact is affixed to the fuse tube ends. The fuse tube is intricately designed with an inner arc tube, skillfully enveloped by a durable outer phenolic paper tube or an epoxy glass cloth tube. The pull load drop-out fuse is optimally equipped with flexible auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, which significantly enhances operational flexibility during open-circuit and co-load current scenarios.
Under typical operational conditions, the drop-out fuse remains securely in a closed position, with the fuse tube and fuse maintained under optimal tension. In the event of a system failure, the rapid surge of fault current melts the fuse, creating a powerful arc. The arc tube, subjected to the arc's intense heat, expels large volumes of gas, generating elevated pressure within the tube. This pressure induces a vertical airflow along the pipeline, effectively stretching and elongating the arc. As the fuse blows, the moving contact loses its tension, activating the locking mechanism, which releases the fuse tube, transitioning it to the breaking position. In scenarios requiring load disconnection, an insulating rod is utilized to disengage the moving contact, while initially maintaining contact with the static contact. Continued pulling with the insulating rod results in the separation of the auxiliary contacts, causing an arc to form and elongate within the hood slit. The gas within the arc cover plays a crucial role in extinguishing the arc precisely when the current reaches zero.

The product model is meticulously aligned with the JB/T8321-1996 Method for type AC high-voltage fuses preparation, adhering strictly to the GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses expulsion fuses standards. Where standard specifications leave room for interpretation, the product is fine-tuned according to the JB/DQ2139-1986 requirements for 10 ~ 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses interim technology guidance, ensuring precision and reliability.
Drop-out fuse cutouts and load switching fuse cutouts are critically important outdoor high voltage protective devices. Seamlessly integrated with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, these devices provide essential protection against short circuits and overloads while managing on/off loading currents with precision. The drop-out fuse cutout is constructed with insulate insulator supports and a fuse tube; static contacts are firmly secured on both sides of the insulator support, with moving contacts installed at the fuse tube ends. The fuse tube's design features an inner arc-extinguishing tube, enveloped by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or an epoxy glass tube, ensuring robust performance. The load switching fuse cutout is equipped with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure to expertly manage on-off loading current scenarios.
Under typical working conditions, the fuse link keeps the fuse tube secured in a closed position. In the event of system faults, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, producing an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing significant gas volumes, which in turn create high pressure to propel the arc along the tube. Upon the melting of the fuse link, the moving contact loses tension, engaging the locking mechanism, and the fuse tube drops out to transition the cutout to an open position. During cutout loading disconnection, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged, but further pulling disengages the auxiliary contacts, generating an electric arc that elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, the arc-extinguishing mechanism efficiently releases gas to extinguish the arc as the current passes through zero, ensuring a safe and seamless operation.
