These advanced devices are expertly positioned either on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or as pivotal support links within distribution lines. They act as indispensable shields against transformer and line short circuits, overload conditions, and skillfully manage the opening and co-loading of current. The drop-out fuse is masterfully engineered with an insulating bracket and fuse tubes, where static contacts are securely fastened at both ends of the bracket, and moving contacts are adeptly attached to the ends of the fuse tube. The intricate construction of the fuse tube features an inner arc tube elegantly paired with an outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy glass cloth tube. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse is designed with enhanced versatility, featuring auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, specifically crafted for seamless current load operations with superior efficiency.
During typical operations, the drop-out fuse remains steadfastly held in a closed position, with the fuse tube expertly tensioned. Upon encountering a system malfunction, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, sparking an arc. This arc ignites the arc tube, instigating the decomposition of large gas volumes, thereby generating high pressure inside the tube and forming a vertical wind path. This ingenious mechanism rapidly elongates and extinguishes the arc. The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are distinguished as premier outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Engineered to integrate seamlessly with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they fulfill a crucial role in shielding transformers and lines from short circuit incidents and overload conditions while expertly managing the on/off load current. The drop-out fuse cutout is comprised of insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts firmly fixed on both sides of the insulator support and moving contacts precisely installed at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube is equipped with an internal arc-extinguishing tube, paired with an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is complemented by reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for proficient on-off load current switching, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
In standard operational scenarios, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube is expertly tightened to maintain a steadfast closed position. When faults arise, the fault current causes the fuse to melt instantaneously, generating an electric arc. This prompts the arc-extinguishing tube to heat and discharge significant gas volumes, creating high pressure and elongating the arc throughout the tube. Following the melting of the fuse link, the moving contact loses its tension, allowing the mechanism to unlock and the fuse tube to drop, transitioning to an open position. For load switching during cutout, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further pulled, an electric arc forms between the auxiliary contacts, elongating within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, the arc-extinguishing mechanism expels gas to extinguish the arc as the current passes through zero, ensuring a seamless and efficient operation.
