The drop-out fuse and pull load drop-out fuse represent essential outdoor high-voltage protective solutions, meticulously crafted to safeguard electric systems. Positioned on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or integrated within distribution lines, these fuses deliver robust protection against transformer and line short circuits, as well as overloads. They excel in managing open-circuit load currents. Their resilient construction incorporates an insulating bracket and fuse tubes; static contacts are firmly mounted on each end of the insulation bracket, while moving contacts are strategically placed at the fuse tube extremities. Ingeniously designed, the fuse tube features an internal arc tube surrounded by an outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy glass cloth tube. Optimized for superior performance, the pull load drop-out fuse is equipped with nimble auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, enhancing its operational versatility, especially when tackling open or co-load currents.

In routine operations, the drop-out fuse remains closed, maintaining tension in the fuse tube and fuse. When a system fault occurs, the fault current melts the fuse, creating an arc. The intense heat from the arc generates a gas outflow from the arc tube, increasing the pressure inside the tube. This initiates a vertical airflow along the pipeline, adeptly stretching and elongating the arc. As the fuse blows, the moving contact loses tension, triggering the locking mechanism to release the fuse tube, guiding it into the breaking position. For load pulling, an insulating rod is utilized to disengage the moving contact, initially keeping it connected to the static contact. Continued pulling with the rod causes the auxiliary contacts to disengage, forming and extending an arc within the hood slit. The gas from the arc cover aids in extinguishing the arc when the current reaches zero.

It is meticulously crafted to meet the rigorous GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses expulsion fuses standards. Should standards present ambiguities in defining critical parameters and configurations, precise adjustments are made in accordance with JB/DQ2139-1986 requirements for 10 ~ 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses interim technology.
Drop-out fuse cutouts and load switching fuse cutouts are pivotal for outdoor high voltage protection. Seamlessly integrated into incoming feeders of distribution transformers or distribution lines, they offer crucial defense against short circuits and overloads, efficiently managing on/off loading currents. The drop-out fuse cutout features insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube; static contacts are securely positioned on either side of the insulator support, and moving contacts sit at the ends of the fuse tube. The sophisticated design of the fuse tube includes an internal arc-extinguishing tube, encapsulated by an outer phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout features robust elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring proficient management of on-off loading currents.

Under normal operating conditions, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains securely closed. When faults occur, fault currents quickly melt the fuse, creating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing large amounts of gas. This high pressure propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, activating the mechanism to lock, and the fuse tube drops out, transitioning the cutout to an open state. To switch off during cutout loading, operators use an insulating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact stay engaged, but further pulling disengages the auxiliary contacts, generating an electric arc that lengthens within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas, ensuring the arc is extinguished as the current reaches zero.
