Crafted with precision, the drop-out fuse features a robust insulating bracket and fuse tubes, complemented by static contacts at each bracket end and mobile contacts on the fuse tube ends. This ingenious construction includes an inner arc tube paired with an outer layer made from phenolic paper or epoxy glass cloth tube. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse further elevates performance with its auxiliary contacts and specialized arc chute, delivering unmatched flexibility and seamless current load operations.

In its steady state, the drop-out fuse is locked firmly in a closed position, with the fuse tube under tension. Upon detecting a fault, the fault current triggers the fuse to blow, igniting an arc. This arc energizes the arc tube, resulting in the release of large quantities of gas, which creates high pressure and induces a vertical wind path in the tube, efficiently stretching and elongating the arc. Upon fuse activation, the moving contact loses tension, rotates outward, and the locking mechanism disengages, allowing the fuse tube to descend to a breaking position. For load operations, an insulating rod is utilized to pull the moving contact in alignment with the static contact. Continued application separates the auxiliary contacts, causing an arc to form and stretch in the hood slit, with the arc cover aiding arc extinguishment as current approaches zero.

Should any standard lack clarity on critical parameters and configurations, adjustments are thoughtfully made in accordance with the JB/DQ2139-1986 interim technology requirements for 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses.
The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are unparalleled outdoor high-voltage protection solutions. These devices are expertly configured to connect with distribution transformers or lines' incoming feeders, playing an integral role in defending transformers and lines from short circuit and overload conditions while adeptly handling on/off load currents. Featuring a sophisticated design, the drop-out fuse cutout boasts insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube with static contacts securely fastened on both insulator ends, while mobile contacts grace the fuse tube ends. The fuse tube is engineered with an internal arc-extinguishing tube and an external casing of phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout further includes robust elastic auxiliary contacts and a specialized arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring efficient on-off load current switching.

During typical operations, the fuse link maintains the fuse tube under tension to keep it securely closed. However, when a fault arises, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, producing an electric arc. This arc heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a significant amount of gas, which elevates pressure, thereby stretching the arc within the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact releases tension, unlocking the mechanism and allowing the fuse tube to drop, transitioning to an open position. For load switching, operators employ an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, this keeps the main contact engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further retracted, an electric arc forms and elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, the arc-extinguishing mechanism expels gas, effectively extinguishing the arc as current reaches zero.
