In typical operational scenarios, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains tightly secured in a closed position. Upon encountering faults, the fault current promptly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc that activates the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing substantial gas volumes and creating high pressure to elongate the arc within the tube. Post-melting, the moving contact loses tension, enabling the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning effectively to an open position. For cutout load switching, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to expertly pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact.
