They are indispensable for providing robust protection against transformer and line short circuits and overload conditions, while also streamlining the process of opening and combining currents. The drop-out fuse is a marvel of design, featuring an insulating bracket and ingenious fuse tubes, with static contacts securely attached at both ends of the bracket and dynamic contacts connected to the fuse tube's extremities. The fuse tube's construction is nothing short of innovative, incorporating an internal arc tube combined with an outer layer of phenolic paper or epoxy glass cloth. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse takes versatility to the next level with its auxiliary contacts and arc chute, expertly crafted for flawless current load operations.
In standard operational modes, the drop-out fuse is expertly locked in a closed position through the tensioning of the fuse tube. Upon the advent of system faults, the fault current rapidly melts the fuse, initiating an arc. As efforts persist, the auxiliary contacts separate, forming an arc that elongates within the hood slit. The drop-out fuse cutout is a sophisticated combination of insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts firmly fixed on either side of the insulator support and mobile contacts adeptly positioned at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself is a feat of engineering, featuring an internal arc-extinguishing tube complemented by an outer layer of phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass. The load switching fuse cutout is enhanced with robust elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring efficient on-off load current switching with unparalleled precision.
In normal operational environments, the fuse link functions to ensure the fuse tube remains securely tightened in a closed position. Upon the occurrence of faults, the fault current induces the fuse to melt instantly, generating an arc. This phenomenon causes the arc-extinguishing tube to heat up and emit a substantial volume of gas, creating high pressure that elongates the arc throughout the tube. Once the fuse link has melted, the mobile contact loses tension, enabling the mechanism to unlock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning to an open position. During load switching cutout operations, operators employ an insulating operating bar to deftly pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further manipulated, an electric arc materializes between the auxiliary contacts, stretching within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, the arc-extinguishing mechanism expels gas to effectively extinguish the arc as the current approaches zero, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
