The drop-out fuse cutout is composed of robust insulating supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts securely fixed on both sides and moving contacts expertly installed at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube highlights a sophisticated internal arc-extinguishing tube partnered with an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout further incorporates enhanced, elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for efficient on-off load current switching.
In typical operational scenarios, the fuse link ensures that the fuse tube remains securely closed. When faults arise, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, producing an electric arc that warms the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing substantial volumes of gas and creating high pressure to elongate the arc within the tube. Once melted, the moving contact loses tension, permitting the mechanism to unlock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning to an open position. For cutout load switching, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to extract the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains connected with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further extracted, an electric arc is formed between them, elongating within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap.
