General
As the epitome of outdoor high-voltage protection, the drop-out fuse and pull load drop-out fuse are expertly designed to safeguard electric systems. These fuses, placed strategically on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or within distribution lines, offer unparalleled defense against short circuits and overloads. Their sophisticated design includes an insulating bracket and fuse tubes; static contacts are securely fastened at each end of the insulation bracket, while moving contacts rest at the extremities of the fuse tube. Ingeniously constructed, the fuse tube features an inner arc tube, encapsulated by an outer phenolic paper tube or an epoxy glass cloth tube. Engineered for superior operational performance, the pull load drop-out fuse is equipped with advanced auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, ensuring maximum flexibility and efficiency in handling open or co-load currents.
In routine operations, the drop-out fuse remains in a closed position, keeping the fuse tube and fuse firmly in place. Upon a system fault, the fault current quickly melts the fuse, creating an arc. This arc generates intense heat that expels gas from the arc tube, increasing the tube's internal pressure. This action initiates a controlled vertical airflow along the pipeline, expertly stretching and elongating the arc. As the fuse link melts, the tension holding the moving contact is released, activating the locking mechanism, which subsequently frees the fuse tube, moving it into the open position. For load disconnection, an insulating rod is used to detach the moving contact, initially keeping it connected with the static contact. Continued pulling with the insulating rod causes the auxiliary contacts to disengage, forming and elongating an arc within the hood slit. The arc cover releases gas, effectively extinguishing the arc when the current reaches zero.

This remarkable product is ingeniously crafted for 10 ~ 35KV distribution lines, branching lines, and the primary sides of distribution transformers. It excels as a fortress of protection against overloads and short circuits, while deftly managing the separation and connection of rated load currents.
In strict adherence to top-tier standards, the product model complies with the JB/T8321-1996 Method for type AC high-voltage fuses preparation. It is meticulously crafted to meet the rigorous requirements of GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses expulsion fuses standards. In cases where standards ambiguously specify essential parameters and configurations, precision adjustments are made according to JB/DQ2139-1986 requirements for 10 ~ 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses interim technology.
Drop-out fuse cutouts and load switching fuse cutouts are indispensable for outdoor high voltage protection. Seamlessly integrated into the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, they provide crucial defense against short circuits and overloads, effectively managing on/off loading currents. The drop-out fuse cutout features insulate insulator supports and a fuse tube; static contacts are securely positioned on either side of the insulator support, and moving contacts are located at the ends of the fuse tube. The intricate design of the fuse tube includes an inner arc-extinguishing tube, enveloped by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is equipped with robust elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring proficient management of on-off loading currents.
Under standard operating conditions, the fuse link ensures the secure closure of the fuse tube. When faults arise, fault currents rapidly melt the fuse, generating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a significant amount of gas. This high pressure propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, triggering the mechanism to lock, and the fuse tube drops out, transitioning the cutout to an open state. To disconnect during cutout loading, operators use an insulating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged, but further pulling disengages the auxiliary contacts, generating an electric arc that elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas, ensuring the arc is extinguished as the current hits zero.
