The load switching fuse cutout boasts elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for efficient on-off load current switching.
In typical operational scenarios, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains securely closed. Encountering faults, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing substantial gas volumes and creating high pressure to stretch the arc within the tube. After melting, the moving contact loses tension, enabling the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning smoothly to an open position. For cutout load switching, operators use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further engaged, an electric arc forms, elongating within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism expels gas, efficiently extinguishing the arc as the current passes through zero.
