General
The Drop Out Fuse and Pull Load Drop Out Fuse stand as essential outdoor high-voltage protective devices meticulously crafted to be the steadfast guardians of electrical systems. Strategically positioned on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or within distribution lines, these fuses deliver uncompromising defense against transformer and line short circuits, as well as overload protection, while skillfully managing open-circuit load currents. Boasting a robust construction, they feature an insulating bracket and fuse tubes; the static contact is firmly secured at each end of the insulating bracket, while the moving contact is strategically positioned at the extremities of the fuse tube. Ingeniously designed, the fuse tube comprises an inner arc tube enveloped by an outer phenolic paper or epoxy glass cloth tube. Tailored for operational excellence, the pull load drop-out fuse is equipped with agile auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, enhancing its operational adaptability, especially when addressing open or co-load currents with precision.
During typical operations, the drop-out fuse remains securely closed, maintaining tension on the fuse tube and fuse. In the event of a system fault, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, creating an arc. The intense heat generated by the arc causes a powerful outflow of gas from the arc tube, increasing the tube's internal pressure. This action initiates a vertical airflow along the pipeline, which adeptly extends and elongates the arc. Once the fuse blows, the tension of the moving contact is released, activating the locking mechanism, which allows the fuse tube to move into the breaking position. For load pulling, an insulating rod is used to disengage the moving contact while initially keeping it in contact with the static contact. Continued pulling with the insulating rod results in the detachment of the auxiliary contacts, forming and elongating an arc within the hood slit. The gas released by the arc cover aids in extinguishing the arc when the current decreases to zero.

In instances where standards ambiguously define critical parameters and configurations, precise adjustments are made in accordance with JB/DQ2139-1986 requirements for 10 ~ 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses interim technology.
Drop-out fuse cutouts and load switching fuse cutouts are indispensable for outdoor high voltage protection. Seamlessly incorporated into the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, they provide essential defense against short circuits and overloads, efficiently handling the management of loading currents on and off. The drop-out fuse cutout features insulate insulator supports and a fuse tube; static contacts are securely placed on either side of the insulator support, and moving contacts reside at the ends of the fuse tube. The intricately designed fuse tube includes an inner arc-extinguishing tube, encapsulated by an outer phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is equipped with robust elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring proficient management of load currents on and off.
Under standard operational conditions, the fuse link ensures that the fuse tube remains securely closed. Upon the occurrence of faults, fault currents rapidly cause the fuse to melt, generating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube and releases abundant gas. This high pressure propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, activating the locking mechanism, allowing the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning the cutout to an open state. For switching off during cutout loading, operators utilize an insulating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged, but further pulling causes the auxiliary contacts to disengage, generating an electric arc that elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas, ensuring the arc is extinguished as the current reaches zero.
