General
The Drop-out Fuse and Pull Load Drop-out Fuse are exceptionally engineered solutions for outdoor high-voltage electrical protection. These devices find their strategic placement on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or as indispensable components in distribution lines. They are paramount in safeguarding against transformer and line short circuits, overload conditions, and facilitating the seamless opening and co-loading of current. Ingeniously designed, the drop-out fuse features an insulating bracket and fuse tubes, with static contacts securely affixed at both ends of the bracket and moving contacts attached to the ends of the fuse tube. The construction comprises an inner arc tube paired with an outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy glass cloth tube. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse offers enhanced operational flexibility with auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, meticulously designed for flawless current load operations.
In regular operations, the drop-out fuse is maintained in a secure closed position with the fuse tube tensioned. Upon encountering a system fault, the fault current promptly blows the fuse, producing an arc. This arc initiates the arc tube, leading to the decomposition of substantial gas volumes, which create high pressure within the tube, establishing a vertical wind path. This extraordinary mechanism effectively stretches and elongates the arc. Following the fuse's blowout, the moving contact releases tension and rotates outward as the locking mechanism disengages, allowing the fuse tube to drop and achieve a breaking position. To pull the load, an insulating rod is utilized to pull the moving contact, maintaining engagement with the static contact. With continued effort, the auxiliary contacts separate, creating an arc between them that stretches within the hood slit. The arc cover, containing gas, facilitates arc extinguishment as the current approaches zero.
Use and Standards
This distinguished product is expertly designed for deployment in 10 to 35KV distribution lines, encompassing branching lines and on the primary side of distribution transformers. It provides robust defense against overloads and short circuits while enabling efficient separation and combination of the rated load current.
The meticulous design of this product adheres to the JB/T8321-1996 Method for AC high-voltage fuse preparation, while product parameters align with GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses Expulsion fuses standards. In instances where standards lack detailed definitions of critical parameters and configurations, adjustments are made in accordance with the JB/DQ2139-1986 interim technology requirements for 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses.
The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are premier outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Expertly designed to connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they play a crucial role in safeguarding transformers and lines against short circuit incidents and overload conditions while adeptly managing the on/off load current. The drop-out fuse cutout consists of insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts firmly fixed on both sides of the insulator support and moving contacts installed at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube features an internal arc-extinguishing tube along with an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is further augmented with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for efficient on-off load current switching.
Under normal operational scenarios, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube is securely tightened to maintain a closed position. Upon the occurrence of faults, the fault current causes the fuse to melt instantly, generating an electric arc. This heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing substantial gas volumes, creating high pressure, and elongating the arc throughout the tube. After the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, enabling the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning to an open position. For cutout load switching, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is progressively pulled, an electric arc forms between the auxiliary contacts, elongating within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism expels gas to extinguish the arc as the current reaches zero.
