They serve as crucial protectors against transformer and line short circuits, as well as overload conditions, while providing smooth and efficient current opening and loading. The ingenious design of the drop-out fuse incorporates an insulating bracket and fuse tubes, complemented by static contacts securely positioned at each end and moving contacts elegantly affixed to the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube construction boasts a sophisticated inner arc-extinguishing tube combined with a robust outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy glass cloth tube. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse distinguishes itself with unmatched flexibility, featuring auxiliary contacts and an artfully designed arc chute to ensure seamless current load operations.
During standard operations, the drop-out fuse is securely locked in a closed position, with the fuse tube perfectly tensioned. Upon detecting system faults, the fault current rapidly blows the fuse, generating a powerful arc. This arc ignites the arc tube, releasing large volumes of gas and creating high pressure inside the tube to fashion a vertical wind path that skillfully stretches and elongates the arc. As the fuse is blown, the moving contact releases, rotating smoothly outwards while the locking mechanism disengages, allowing the fuse tube to drop into a definitive breaking position. When load pulling becomes necessary, an insulating rod is employed to draw out the moving contact while maintaining its connection with the static contact. Through the continued application of force, auxiliary contacts separate, generating an arc between them that stretches within the hood slit. The arc cover adeptly contains the gas, fostering efficient arc extinguishment as the current approaches zero.

The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout stand as premier outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Thoughtfully designed to connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they play a critical role in safeguarding transformers and lines from short circuit events and overload conditions while expertly managing on/off load current. The drop-out fuse cutout is composed of sturdy insulating supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts fixed on both sides and moving contacts expertly mounted at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube features a sophisticated internal arc-extinguishing tube paired with an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is enhanced with resilient auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for efficient on/off load current switching.
In typical operating scenarios, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains firmly closed. Upon encountering faults, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing substantial gas volumes and creating high pressure to elongate the arc within the tube. Once melted, the moving contact loses its tension, allowing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning to an open position. For cutout load switching, operators skillfully use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further drawn, an electric arc forms between them, elongating within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism efficiently expels gas to extinguish the arc as the current traverses through zero.
