The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout epitomize high-performance outdoor high-voltage protection devices. Expertly designed to connect to the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they play a crucial role in shielding transformers and lines from short circuit events and overload conditions while adeptly handling the on/off load current. The drop-out fuse cutout features robust insulating supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts strategically secured on both sides and moving contacts skillfully affixed at the ends of the fuse tube. Upon encountering faults, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing copious volumes of gas and generating high pressure to elongate the arc within the tube. Once the fuse melts, the moving contact loses tension, allowing the mechanism to unlock, causing the fuse tube to gracefully drop out, transitioning to an open position. For seamless cutout load switching, operators deftly use an insulating operating bar to draw the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further drawn, an electric arc forms between them, extending within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism expels gas to efficiently extinguish the arc as the current passes through zero.
