Ingeniously crafted, the drop-out fuse consists of an insulating bracket and fuse tubes, with static contacts firmly secured at each end and moving contacts elegantly connected to the ends of the fuse tube. The design of the fuse tube features a sophisticated inner arc tube coupled with a robust outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy glass cloth tube. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse distinguishes itself with superior adaptability, incorporating auxiliary contacts and an arc chute meticulously crafted for flawless current load operations.
In standard operational modes, the drop-out fuse is securely locked in a closed stance, with the fuse tube precisely tensioned. Upon detecting system anomalies, the fault current acts promptly, blowing the fuse and generating an arc. This intense arc ignites the arc tube, decomposing substantial gas volumes and generating high pressure within the tube, crafting a vertical wind path that skillfully stretches and elongates the arc. As the fuse blows, the moving contact releases, gracefully rotating outward while the locking mechanism disengages, allowing the fuse tube to drop and reach a definitive breaking position. When load pulling is required, an insulating rod is employed to draw out the moving contact while maintaining connection with the static contact. With continued force application, auxiliary contacts separate, generating an arc between them that stretches within the hood slit. The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are premier outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Designed with intention, they connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, playing a vital role in safeguarding transformers and lines from short circuit events and overload conditions while expertly managing the on/off load current. The drop-out fuse cutout comprises robust insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts fixed on both sides and moving contacts skillfully installed at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube features an advanced internal arc-extinguishing tube paired with an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout also includes enhanced, elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for efficient on-off load current switching.
In typical operational scenarios, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains tightly closed. Upon encountering faults, the fault current melts the fuse with urgency, generating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing copious gas volumes and creating high pressure to elongate the arc within the tube. Post-melting, the moving contact loses tension, enabling the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning to an open position. For cutout load switching, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further pulled, an electric arc forms between them, elongating within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism expels gas to efficiently extinguish the arc as the current passes through zero.
