The fuse tube's design features a sophisticated internal arc-extinguishing tube, perfectly paired with an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is further enhanced with elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring efficient and effective on-off load current switching.
In typical operational conditions, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains firmly sealed. Upon encountering system faults, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, thereby releasing substantial gas volumes and creating high pressure to elongate the arc within the tube. Once the fuse melts, the moving contact loses tension, allowing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to disengage, transitioning to an open position.
