As essential guardians, they shield against transformer and line short circuits, adeptly manage overload conditions, and facilitate seamless current disconnection and co-loading. Engineered with precision, the drop-out fuse features an insulating bracket paired with fuse tubes, static contacts elegantly secured at both bracket ends, and moving contacts precisely affixed to the fuse tube extremities. The innovative fuse tube construction incorporates an inner arc tube seamlessly integrated with an outer phenolic paper tube or durable epoxy glass cloth tube. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse, offering superior adaptability, includes auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, specifically tailored to ensure effortless current load operations.
In typical operational conditions, the drop-out fuse remains firmly locked in a closed position by the tensioned fuse tube. However, in the event of a system malfunction, the fault current rapidly disintegrates the fuse, triggering an arc. This arc ignites the arc tube, leading to the swift decomposition of substantial gas amounts, generating high pressure within the tube and creating a vertical wind path, which remarkably stretches and elongates the arc. Upon fuse disintegration, the moving contact loses its tension and rotates outward, the locking mechanism releases, and the fuse tube drops to its break position. When load disconnection is necessary, an insulating rod is adeptly used to pull the moving contact while maintaining static contact engagement. With sustained effort, auxiliary contacts separate, creating an arc between them which elongates within the hood slit. The gas-contained arc cover facilitates arc extinguishment as the current drops to zero.
Use and Standards
This exceptional product is purposefully crafted for application in 10 to 35KV distribution lines, including branching lines and the primary side of distribution transformers. It provides steadfast protection against overloads and short circuits and effectively supports the separation and combination of the rated load current.
Engineered with precision, this product strictly adheres to the JB/T8321-1996 AC high-voltage fuse preparation method, and its parameters align with the GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses Expulsion fuses standards. In instances where standards fall short in detailing critical parameters and configurations, meticulous adjustments are made in line with the JB/DQ2139-1986 interim technical requirements for 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses.
The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout represent the pinnacle of outdoor high-voltage protective technology. Expertly crafted to connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, these devices are instrumental in protecting transformers and lines from short circuit events and overload conditions while adeptly managing on/off load current. The drop-out fuse cutout consists of insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts firmly fixed on both sides of the insulator support and moving contacts precisely installed at the fuse tube ends. Inside, the fuse tube features an advanced internal arc-extinguishing tube and an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout further enhances functionality with robust elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring optimal efficiency in on-off load current operations.
In routine operational scenarios, the fuse link adeptly maintains the fuse tube in a tightened, closed position. However, upon encountering faults, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, producing an electric arc. This results in the arc-extinguishing tube heating and releasing a considerable volume of gas, creating high pressure and extending the arc within the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, allowing the mechanism to engage the lock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning to an open position. For load switching during cutout, operators skillfully deploy an insulating operating bar to draw the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains connected with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further drawn, an electric arc emerges between the auxiliary contacts, which elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas to extinguish the arc as the current passes through zero.
