Its construction incorporates an advanced inner arc tube, complemented by a robust outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy glass cloth tube. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse stands out with its superior flexibility, incorporating auxiliary contacts and an arc chute ingeniously designed for smooth current load operations.
Under standard conditions, the drop-out fuse remains securely fastened in a closed position, with the fuse tube held under meticulous tension. Upon encountering system faults, the fault current quickly blows the fuse and creates an arc. This dynamic arc ignites the arc tube, decomposing substantial gas volumes and generating high pressure to establish a vertical wind path that skillfully stretches and extends the arc. Once the fuse blows, the moving contact releases, rotating gracefully outward while the locking mechanism disengages, causing the fuse tube to drop and transition to a decisive breaking position. During load pulling, an insulating rod is employed to extract the moving contact while maintaining connection with the static contact. With further application of force, auxiliary contacts separate, creating an arc between them that stretches within the hood slit. The arc cover expertly contains the gas, enabling efficient arc extinguishment as the current approaches zero.

The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are premier outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Expertly designed to connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they play a critical role in defending transformers and lines from short circuit events and overload conditions while efficiently handling the on/off load current. The drop-out fuse cutout includes robust insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts securely placed on both sides and moving contacts skillfully installed at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube incorporates a sophisticated internal arc-extinguishing tube paired with an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout also features enhanced, elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for efficient on-off load current switching.
In typical operational scenarios, the fuse link maintains the fuse tube in a tightly closed position. When faults are encountered, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc that activates the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing substantial gas volumes and creating high pressure to elongate the arc within the tube. After melting, the moving contact loses tension, allowing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning to an open position. For cutout load switching, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further pulled, an electric arc forms between them, elongating within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism expels gas to efficiently extinguish the arc as the current passes through zero.
