The drop-out fuse and pull load drop-out fuse are fundamental outdoor high-voltage protective devices, masterfully designed to safeguard electric systems. Positioned strategically on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or within distribution lines, these fuses deliver robust protection against transformer and line short circuits, along with overloads, while efficiently managing open-circuit load currents. Built with durability in mind, their construction features an insulating bracket and fuse tubes; the static contact is securely fastened at each end of the insulation bracket, while the moving contact is situated at the extremities of the fuse tube. Ingeniously designed, the fuse tube comprises an inner arc tube enveloped by an outer phenolic paper tube or an epoxy glass cloth tube. The pull load drop-out fuse is enhanced with agile auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, augmenting its operational versatility, particularly in handling open or co-load currents.

In routine operations, the drop-out fuse remains closed, with the fuse tube and fuse held taut. Upon occurrence of a system fault, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, generating an arc. The intense heat from the arc propels gas from the arc tube, increasing the pressure within the tube. This initiates a vertical airflow along the pipeline, seamlessly stretching and extending the arc. As the fuse blows, the moving contact loses tension, activating the locking mechanism, which releases the fuse tube, guiding it into the breaking position. For load pulling, an insulating rod is used to disengage the moving contact, initially maintaining its engagement with the static contact. Persistent pulling with the insulating rod prompts the auxiliary contacts to disconnect, forming and elongating an arc within the hood slit. The arc cover's gas assists in extinguishing the arc when the current decreases to zero.

It is expertly engineered to meet the rigorous GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses expulsion fuses standards. In cases where standards ambiguously define crucial parameters and configurations, precise adjustments are made following the JB/DQ2139-1986 requirements for 10 ~ 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses interim technology.
Drop-out fuse cutouts and load switching fuse cutouts are pivotal for outdoor high voltage protection. Flawlessly integrated into the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, they provide essential defense against short circuits and overloads, efficiently handling on/off loading currents. The drop-out fuse cutout features insulated insulator supports and a fuse tube; static contacts are securely positioned on either side of the insulator support, with moving contacts at the ends of the fuse tube. The sophisticated design of the fuse tube includes an inner arc-extinguishing tube, encased by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is equipped with robust elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring proficient management of on-off loading currents.

Under normal operating conditions, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains securely closed. When faults arise, fault currents rapidly melt the fuse, creating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing abundant gas. This high-pressure environment propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, triggering the mechanism to lock, and the fuse tube drops out, transitioning the cutout to an open state. To switch off during cutout loading, operators utilize an insulating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged, but further pulling disengages the auxiliary contacts, generating an electric arc that elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas, ensuring the arc is extinguished as the current reaches zero.
