The Drop-out Fuse and Load Drop-out Fuse serve as robust outdoor high-voltage protective devices essential for electrical distribution systems. Positioned strategically on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or as pivotal components in distribution lines, these fuses safeguard against transformer and line short circuits, overloads, and facilitate current management. Constructed with a resilient insulating bracket and durable fuse tubes, they feature static contacts affixed to both ends of the insulation bracket and moving contacts at the fuse tube's extremities. The inner arc tube of the fuse tube combines with an outer layer made from phenolic paper or epoxy glass cloth to ensure optimal performance. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse introduces enhanced flexibility with auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, ensuring efficient current management.

In standard operational circumstances, the Drop-out Fuse maintains a closed position as the fuse tube remains under tension. However, when a system malfunction occurs, the fault current swiftly triggers the fuse to blow, generating an arc. This leads to the arc tube being ignited by the electric arc, which subsequently decomposes into large volumes of gas. This process creates substantial pressure within the tube, propelling the arc in an elongating trajectory. Once the fuse blows, the moving contact loses its tension, causing the locking mechanism to release the fuse tube, which subsequently drops into a breaking position. During load operations, an insulating rod pulls the moving contact. Initially, the moving and static contacts remain engaged. With continued pulling using the insulating rod, the auxiliary contacts separate, and an arc forms between them. This arc stretches through the hood slit, with the arc cover releasing gas. As the current reaches zero, the arc is extinguished.

This product's model is meticulously prepared according to JB/T8321-1996 standards for type AC high-voltage fuses. The product parameters adhere to GB15166.3-1994 standards for high voltage expulsion fuses. Although the standards lack explicit definitions for certain critical parameters and configurations, adjustments are made based on JB/DQ2139-1986 requirements for 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses.
Drop-out Fuse Cutouts and Load Switching Fuse Cutouts are designed as advanced outdoor high-voltage protective devices. They serve as vital components connecting the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, primarily to shield them from short circuits and overloads, while also enabling efficient on/off current management. Comprising insulate supports and a fuse tube, these devices feature static contacts fixed on the insulator support's sides, while moving contacts are affixed to the fuse tube's ends. The fuse tube is composed of an inner arc-extinguishing tube paired with an outer layer made from robust phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. The Load Switching Fuse Cutout is designed with reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure to ensure seamless on-off current management.

Under normal working conditions, the fuse link secures the fuse tube in a closed position. During fault events, the resulting fault current promptly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc. This causes the arc-extinguishing tube to heat up, releasing a significant amount of gas. The pressure created propels the arc through the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, triggering the locking mechanism and allowing the fuse tube to drop out, thus transitioning the cutout to an open position. For cutout load switching, operators use an insulating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain engaged. As the auxiliary contact is pulled apart, an electric arc forms and elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure's gap. Simultaneously, gas is expelled to extinguish the arc as the current crosses zero.
