General
The drop-out fuse and load drop-out fuse are vital outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Strategically positioned on the high-voltage side of a distribution transformer or as a crucial part of the distribution line, they offer robust protection against transformer and line short circuits, overloads, and enable seamless current operations. Crafted from high-quality insulating brackets and top-tier fuse tubes, these remarkable fuses feature static contacts on both ends of the insulation bracket and moving contacts on the fuse tube's ends. The fuse tube itself boasts an inner arc tube and is encased in a durable outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy glass cloth tube. The pull load drop-out fuse is ingeniously designed with flexible auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, significantly enhancing its capability to handle operational currents with ease.
In normal operations, the drop-out fuse's tensioned fuse tube ensures a secure closed position. However, when a system fault arises, the fault current swiftly blows the fuse, creating an arc. The arc tube, incited by the arc's heat, releases a prodigious amount of gas, building high pressure within the tube and directing strong vertical airflow. This dynamic process stretches and elongates the arc with incredible speed. Once the fuse blows, the moving contact loses its tension and disengages, triggering the locking mechanism to release the fuse tube, which then drops to create a breaking position. When disconnecting the load, operators can skillfully use an insulating rod to manipulate the moving contact. At this juncture, both moving and static contacts remain engaged. With continued manipulation, the auxiliary contacts separate, producing an arc between them. This arc extends through the hood slit, where the arc cover's gas extinguishes it as the current reaches zero.
Use and Standards
Our product finds its application in 10 to 35KV distribution line branches and the primary side of distribution transformers, ensuring impeccable overload and short circuit protection. It adeptly separates and combines rated load currents, safeguarding the entire system.
The model of this product adheres to the JB/T8321-1996 standards for AC high-voltage fuses, with parameters crafted in accordance with GB15166.3-1994 standards for high voltage expulsion fuses. While the standards may not specify all crucial parameters and configurations, adjustments are made following the JB/DQ2139-1986 standards for outdoor high voltage drop fuses ranging from 10 to 35KV, ensuring technological excellence.
The drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are highly reliable outdoor high voltage protective devices. They seamlessly connect to the incoming feeder of a distribution transformer or distribution lines to provide unparalleled protection against short circuits and overloads, while facilitating efficient on/off current operations. The drop-out fuse cutout is ingeniously constructed with insulating supports and a robust fuse tube. Static contacts are securely fixed on both sides of the insulator support, whereas moving contacts are strategically positioned on both ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube is designed with an arc-extinguishing tube inside and an outer phenolic compound paper tube or an epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is further enhanced with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, allowing it to adeptly handle operational currents.
In standard operating conditions, the fuse link tightens the fuse tube, securing it in a closed position. When a fault occurs, the fault current causes the fuse to melt instantaneously, creating an electrical arc. This arc heats the arc-extinguishing tube, causing it to release a large volume of gas, generating high pressure and directing a forceful flow along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, locking the mechanism and causing the fuse tube to drop out, placing the cutout in an open position. When it is necessary to switch off during cutout loading, operators use an insulating operating bar to manipulate the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged. As pulling continues, the auxiliary contacts separate, generating an arc between them. This arc extends into the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, where the release of arc-extinguishing gas extinguishes the arc as the current reaches zero.
