General
The drop-out fuse and pull load drop-out fuse are indispensable high-voltage outdoor protective devices, expertly designed to safeguard electric systems. Positioned strategically on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or within distribution lines, these fuses provide exceptional protection against transformer and line short circuits, as well as overloads, while efficiently managing open-circuit load currents. Their robust architecture comprises an insulating bracket and fuse tubes; with static contacts firmly secured at each end of the insulation bracket, and moving contacts thoughtfully placed at the fuse tube's extremities. The fuse tube is ingeniously designed with an inner arc tube encased by either a phenolic paper tube or an epoxy glass cloth tube. Engineered for superior performance, the pull load drop-out fuse is enhanced with versatile auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, boosting its operational flexibility, especially in handling open or co-load currents.
In typical operations, the drop-out fuse is securely closed, keeping the fuse tube and fuse taut. When a system fault occurs, the fault current rapidly melts the fuse, creating an arc. The arc's intense heat generates a significant outflow of gas from the arc tube, increasing the internal pressure. This action initiates a vertical airflow along the pipeline, expertly stretching and lengthening the arc. As the fuse blows, the tension on the moving contact is relieved, activating the locking mechanism, which then releases the fuse tube, guiding it into the open position. For load disconnection, an insulating rod is used to disengage the moving contact, initially keeping it connected with the static contact. Continuous pulling with the insulating rod causes the auxiliary contacts to disconnect, forming and extending an arc within the hood slit. The gas emitted from the arc cover aids in extinguishing the arc as the current approaches zero.

Adhering to the highest industry standards, the product model is aligned with the JB/T8321-1996 Method for Preparing Type AC High-Voltage Fuses. It is meticulously crafted to comply with the stringent GB15166.3-1994 standards for high voltage fuses expulsion fuses. In cases where standards ambiguously define critical parameters and configurations, precision adjustments are carried out according to JB/DQ2139-1986 requirements for 10 ~ 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses interim technology.
Drop-out fuse cutouts and load switching fuse cutouts are vital for outdoor high voltage protection. Seamlessly integrated into the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, they provide essential protection against short circuits and overloads, efficiently managing on-off loading currents. The drop-out fuse cutout features insulate insulator supports and a fuse tube; static contacts are securely positioned on either side of the insulator support, with moving contacts resting at the ends of the fuse tube. The intricate design of the fuse tube includes an inner arc-extinguishing tube, encased by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is equipped with durable elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring proficient management of on-off loading currents.
Under standard operating conditions, the fuse link ensures that the fuse tube remains tightly closed. When faults occur, fault currents rapidly melt the fuse, forming an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a considerable amount of gas. This high pressure propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, triggering the mechanism to lock, and the fuse tube is released, transitioning the cutout to an open state. To disconnect during cutout loading, operators use an insulating bar to separate the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged, but further pulling disengages the auxiliary contacts, generating an electric arc that elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas, ensuring the arc is extinguished as the current reaches zero.
