General
The Drop-out Fuse and Pull Load Drop-out Fuse are essential outdoor high-voltage protective devices designed for electrical systems. These fuses are primarily installed on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or at the distribution line support links, providing vital protection against transformer and line short circuits, overloads, and enabling open, co-load current operations. The Drop-out Fuse comprises an insulating bracket and fuse tubes, with static contacts at each end of the bracket and moving contacts at each end of the fuse tube. The fuse tube features an inner arc tube and an outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy glass cloth tube. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse includes enhanced flexibility with auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, ensuring efficient open, co-load current management.

During normal operations, the Drop-out Fuse's tube, under tension, maintains a closed position. When a system fault occurs, the fault current swiftly blows the fuse, creating an arc. This arc triggers the arc tube to decompose, releasing large gas volumes that generate high pressure within the tube, promoting a vertical wind along the pipeline. This process swiftly stretches and elongates the arc. Once the fuse is blown, the moving contact loses tension, triggering the locking mechanism to release the fuse tube, resulting in a breaking position. To pull the load, an insulating rod is used to manipulate the moving contact. Initially, the moving and static contacts remain engaged. With continued manipulation, the auxiliary contacts separate, producing an arc between them. This arc stretches within the hood slit, while the arc cover releases gas. As the current reaches zero, the arc extinguishes.

Use and Standards
This product is designed for application in 10 to 35KV distribution line branches and the primary side of distribution transformers, serving as overload and short circuit protection. It is adept at facilitating the separation and combination of the rated load current, ensuring robust and reliable performance.
The product model is crafted in accordance with JB/T8321-1996 Method of type AC high-voltage fuses. The product parameters align with the GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses Expulsion fuses standards. Where the standards lack specific parameter and configuration definitions, adjustments are made following the JB/DQ2139-198610 ~ 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuse interim technology requirements, ensuring precision and compliance.
Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are state-of-the-art outdoor high voltage protective devices. They seamlessly connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, offering paramount protection against transformer and line short circuits and overloads, while managing on/off loading current efficiently. These devices consist of insulate insulator supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts secured on the insulator support's sides and moving contacts positioned on the fuse tube's ends. The fuse tube is crafted with an inside arc-extinguishing tube, enclosed by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The Load Switching Fuse Cutout is equipped with enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, enhancing its switching on-off loading current capabilities.

In typical operation, the fuse link's tension secures the fuse tube, forming a closed position. Should a system fault occur, the consequent fault current promptly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc. This action heats the arc-extinguishing tube, producing copious gas amounts, elevating pressure, and directing a powerful blow along the tube. Upon the fuse link melting, the moving contact loses tension, locking the mechanism and causing the fuse tube to drop, initiating an open position. For cutout loading requiring switch-off, an operator uses an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, main and auxiliary static contacts remain engaged. As the operator continues, the auxiliary contacts separate, producing an electric arc which elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, the arc-extinguishing process releases gas to extinguish the arc as the current reaches zero.
