General
Our Drop-out Fuse and Load Pull Drop-out Fuse are essential outdoor high-voltage protection devices. Strategically positioned on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or as key links in distribution lines, these fuses stand guard against short circuits, overloads, and manage open and co-load currents with finesse. The drop-out fuse is ingeniously constructed using an insulating bracket and robust fuse tubes. Static contacts are securely positioned at each end of the insulation bracket, while moving contacts are meticulously affixed at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself is a marvel, crafted from an inner arc tube and an outer sheath of either phenolic paper or epoxy glass cloth. The pull load drop-out fuse is further enhanced with flexible auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, ensuring seamless open and co-load current management.
In standard operation, our drop-out fuse maintains a closed position, with the fuse tube kept under tension. Should a system fault arise, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, creating an arc. This arc interacts with the arc tube, generating copious gas and high pressure within, which propels a vertical wind through the tube, rapidly elongating the arc. Once the fuse melts, the moving contact loses tension, triggering the locking mechanism to release the fuse tube, which then drops, marking the breaking position. During load pulls, an insulating rod is employed to disengage the moving contact. At this juncture, the moving and static contacts remain in touch. Continued pulling detaches the auxiliary contacts, creating an arc between them, which stretches within the hood slit. The arc cover, infused with gas, snuffs out the arc as the current reaches zero.
Use and Standards
Our product excels in 10 ~ 35KV distribution lines, branching lines, and on the primary side of distribution transformers, providing robust overload and short circuit protection, as well as proficiently separating and combining rated load currents.
Crafted to perfection, this product adheres to the JB/T8321-1996 Method of type AC high-voltage fuses. Its parameters are defined by the GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses Expulsion fuses standards. While these standards may not specify critical parameters and configurations, adjustments are made according to JB/DQ2139-198610 ~ 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuse interim technology requirements.
Our Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are high-performance, outdoor high-voltage protective devices. They seamlessly connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, offering crucial protection against short circuits and overloads, while expertly managing on/off load currents. Each cutout is engineered with insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube. Static contacts are precisely fixed on both sides of the insulator support, and moving contacts are strategically placed at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself is composed of an inner arc-extinguishing tube, encased in an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout features reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for effective on-off load current switching.
Under normal conditions, the fuse link secures the fuse tube, maintaining a close position. When faults occur, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc. This interaction heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a surge of gas that creates high pressure and directs the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, locking the mechanism and allowing the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning the cutout to an open position. If switching off during cutout loading is necessary, the operator uses an insulating bar to disengage the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain in contact. As the auxiliary contacts separate, an electric arc forms, lengthening within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing gas extinguishes the arc as the current approaches zero.
