The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse distinguishes itself with superior adaptability, featuring auxiliary contacts and an arc chute precisely engineered for smooth current load handling.
In normal operations, the drop-out fuse is securely closed, with the fuse tube perfectly tensioned. When faults arise, the fault current rapidly blows the fuse, producing an arc. This dynamic arc activates the arc tube, decomposing substantial gas volumes and generating elevated pressure within the tube to create a vertical airflow that adeptly extends and elongates the arc. As the fuse blows, the moving contact gracefully releases, rotating outward while the locking mechanism disengages, allowing the fuse tube to drop and achieve a definitive breaking position. During load pulling, an insulating rod is utilized to extract the moving contact while remaining linked with the static contact. With continued force, auxiliary contacts disengage, creating an arc between them that extends within the hood slit. The arc cover expertly contains the gas, enabling efficient arc extinguishment as the current reaches its nadir.

The drop-out fuse cutout comprises resilient insulating supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts firmly established on both sides and moving contacts skillfully installed at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube features a sophisticated internal arc-extinguishing tube paired with an exterior phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout also incorporates advanced, elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing chamber for efficient on-off load current switching.
In typical operational settings, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains securely closed. When confronted with faults, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing considerable gas volumes and creating high pressure to elongate the arc within the tube. After melting, the moving contact loses its tension, prompting the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning to an open position. For cutout load switching, operators employ an insulating operating rod to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further extracted, an electric arc forms between them, extending within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, the arc-extinguishing system expels gas to efficiently extinguish the arc as the current nears zero.
