General
The drop-out fuse and pull load drop-out fuse are indispensable champions of outdoor high-voltage protection, meticulously engineered to safeguard electrical systems. Strategically positioned on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or within distribution lines, these fuses serve as stalwart sentinels against transformer and line short circuits, as well as overloads, all the while deftly handling open-circuit load currents. Their robust design includes an insulating bracket and fuse tubes; the static contact is securely anchored at both ends of the insulation bracket, while the moving contact graces the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube's ingenious construction features an inner arc tube cocooned by an outer phenolic paper tube or an epoxy glass cloth tube. Created for superior operational functionality, the pull load drop-out fuse is augmented with nimble auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, amplifying its operational versatility, especially when confronting open or co-load currents.
During routine operations, the drop-out fuse remains steadfastly closed, ensuring the fuse tube and fuse are taut. Upon system fault initiation, the fault current swiftly liquefies the fuse, sparking an arc. The arc's blistering heat triggers a torrent of gas from the arc tube, elevating the pressure within the tube. This catalyzes a vertical airflow along the pipeline, artfully stretching and elongating the arc. As the fuse ruptures, the moving contact's tension dissipates, activating the locking mechanism, which then liberates the fuse tube, coaxing it into a breaking stance. For load disconnections, an insulating rod disengages the moving contact, initially preserving its connection with the static contact. Persistent maneuvering with the insulating rod results in auxiliary contacts disengaging, producing and elongating an arc within the hood slit. The arc cover's gas facilitates extinguishing the arc when the current approaches zero.

In instances where standards ambiguously define critical parameters and configurations, precision adjustments are executed in accordance with JB/DQ2139-1986 requirements for 10 ~ 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses interim technology.
Drop-out fuse cutouts and load switching fuse cutouts are paramount for outdoor high voltage protection. Seamlessly integrated into the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, they deliver crucial defense against short circuits and overloads, efficiently managing on/off loading currents. The drop-out fuse cutout features insulated insulator supports and a fuse tube; static contacts are securely placed on either side of the insulator support, and moving contacts rest at the ends of the fuse tube. The elaborate design of the fuse tube includes an inner arc-extinguishing tube, encapsulated by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout boasts robust elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring proficient management of on-off loading currents.
In standard operating conditions, the fuse link guarantees that the fuse tube remains securely fastened. When faults occur, fault currents rapidly melt the fuse, creating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing abundant gas. This high pressure propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, triggering the mechanism to lock, and the fuse tube drops out, transitioning the cutout to an open state. To disconnect during cutout loading, operators use an insulating bar to disengage the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged, but further pulling disengages the auxiliary contacts, generating an electric arc that elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas, ensuring the arc is extinguished as the current reaches zero.
