General
The Drop-out Fuse and Pull Load Drop-out Fuse are state-of-the-art outdoor high-voltage protective devices, designed to safeguard electrical systems with unparalleled efficiency. Ideally installed on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or as a crucial link in distribution lines, these fuses offer robust short circuit, overload protection, and facilitate seamless co-load current operations. Constructed with a durable insulating bracket and innovative fuse tubes, they feature static contacts at each end of the insulation bracket and dynamic moving contacts at either end of the fuse tube. The cutting-edge fuse tube comprises an inner arc tube, complemented by a resilient outer phenolic paper or epoxy glass cloth tube. For enhanced operational flexibility, the Pull Load Drop-out Fuse boasts auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, optimizing the management of co-load currents.
In normal operation, the drop-out fuse maintains a closed position by the tension within the fuse tube. However, when a system fault occurs, the fault current rapidly melts the fuse, creating an arc. This arc ignites the arc tube, generating a large volume of gas that builds high pressure within the tube, stretching the arc along the pipeline swiftly. Once the fuse blows, the moving contact loses tension, releasing the fuse tube to drop, which effectively breaks the circuit. When there is a need to pull the load, an insulating rod is used to disengage the moving contact. At this juncture, the moving and static contacts remain connected. Continuous pulling with the insulating rod separates the auxiliary contacts, causing an arc to form between them. This arc is stretched within the hood slit, and as the arc cover releases gas, the arc extinguishes when the current reaches zero.
Use and Standards
This exceptional product is meticulously engineered for use in 10 ~ 35KV distribution lines, particularly branching lines, and the primary side of distribution transformers. It provides crucial overload and short circuit protection, as well as enabling safe separation and combination of the rated load current.
Our product model adheres to the JB/T8321-1996 method for type AC high-voltage fuses. Each product parameter is crafted in accordance with the GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses expulsion fuses standards. While these standards may not explicitly define all critical parameters and configurations, they are rigorously aligned and refined with the JB/DQ2139-1986 standards for 10 ~ 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses, incorporating the latest interim technology advancements.
The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are indispensable outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Designed to integrate seamlessly with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they offer superior protection against short circuits and overloads, while efficiently managing on/off loading current. Each drop-out fuse cutout is crafted with insulating insulator supports and a cutting-edge fuse tube. Static contacts are firmly fixed on both sides of the insulator support, while moving contacts are strategically positioned at both ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself is ingeniously constructed with an inner arc-extinguishing tube, complemented by an outer phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout further enhances performance with its enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and a sophisticated arc-extinguishing enclosure for optimal switching on and off of load currents.
During normal operations, the fuse tube is securely fastened in a closed position by the fuse link. Should a fault arise within the system, the fault current immediately melts the fuse, generating an electrical arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, culminating in the release of a significant volume of gas. This creates high pressure and propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link has melted, the moving contact loses its secured tension, causing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop, transitioning the cutout to an open position. For operations requiring switching off during cutout loading, the operator uses an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact; initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain connected. As the pull continues, the auxiliary contact separates, creating an electric arc that extends within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, the arc-extinguishing system releases gas to extinguish the arc as the current passes through zero.
