The sophisticated construction of the fuse tube includes an inner arc tube, seamlessly paired with an outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy glass cloth tube. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse further exemplifies versatility, with auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, meticulously engineered for flawless current load operations.
Under regular operational conditions, the drop-out fuse is firmly secured in a closed position with the fuse tube tensioned. In the event of a system malfunction, the fault current promptly blows the fuse, igniting an arc. This arc activates the arc tube, triggering the decomposition of substantial gas volumes, creating immense pressure inside the tube and generating a vertical wind channel. This extraordinary mechanism rapidly extends and stretches the arc. Upon the fuse blowing, the dynamic contact releases tension and rotates outward, while the locking mechanism disengages, permitting the fuse tube to drop, achieving a breaking position. When it is necessary to pull the load, an insulating rod is utilized to pull the moving contact, ensuring continuous contact with the static contact. With sustained effort, the auxiliary contacts part ways, forming an arc between them that stretches within the hood slit. The arc cover, containing gas, expedites the arc extinguishment as the current approaches zero.

In instances where the standards lack detailed definitions of critical parameters and configurations, adjustments are astutely made in alignment with the JB/DQ2139-1986 interim technology requirements for 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses.
The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout epitomize premium outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Crafted to seamlessly integrate with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they play a pivotal role in shielding transformers and lines from short circuit incidents and overload conditions, while adeptly managing the on/off load current. The drop-out fuse cutout comprises insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts firmly fixed on both sides of the insulator support and dynamic contacts elegantly positioned at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube features an internal arc-extinguishing tube alongside an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout further includes robust elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for faultless on-off load current switching.
In standard operational conditions, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube is securely tightened, maintaining a closed position. When faults arise, the fault current immediately melts the fuse, generating an electric arc, which heats the arc-extinguishing tube to release significant gas volume, creating high pressure to elongate the arc throughout the tube. After the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, allowing the mechanism to lock, and the fuse tube to drop out, switching to an open position. For load switching during cutout, operators employ an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further pulled, an electric arc forms between the auxiliary contacts, elongating within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas to extinguish the arc as the current traverses through zero.
