General
Introducing the drop-out fuse and pull-load drop-out fuse, an essential outdoor high-voltage protection device. Designed for installation on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or as a support link for distribution lines, this robust equipment offers superior short circuit and overload protection. Its construction features an insulating bracket, static contacts at both ends, and a dynamic moving contact on the fuse tube, which comprises an inner arc tube and an outer tube made of phenolic paper or epoxy glass cloth. The pull-load drop-out fuse is enhanced with flexible auxiliary contacts and an innovative arc chute for seamless operation under load current.

In standard operation, the drop-out fuse remains securely closed by the fuse tension. Upon system failure, the fault current instantly blows the fuse, generating an arc. This initiates a reaction in the arc tube, decomposing gases and building high pressure to stretch the arc along the pipeline, ensuring rapid extinguishment. Once the fuse is blown, tension releases, activating the locking mechanism and allowing the fuse tube to drop, transitioning to a breaking position. For load operations, an insulating rod is used to manipulate the moving contact. Initially, there's contact between moving and static components, but with further pulling, the auxiliary contacts disengage, forming an arc that stretches and extinguishes as the current reaches zero.

Use and Standards
This cutting-edge product is perfect for 10 to 35KV distribution line branches and primary sides of distribution transformers, offering unmatched overload and short circuit protection while smoothly managing rated load currents.
Designed in accordance with the JB/T8321-1996 method for AC high-voltage fuses, this product adheres to the GB15166.3-1994 expulsion fuses standards. Although these standards do not define all critical parameters and configurations, adjustments are made per the JB/DQ2139-1986 interim technology requirements for 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses.
The drop-out fuse cutout and load switching fuse cutout are indispensable high-voltage protective devices for outdoor use. Connecting with incoming feeders of distribution transformers or lines, they offer premier protection against short circuits and overloads, as well as efficient on/off loading. Constructed from durable insulator supports and fuse tubes, they feature static contacts securely fixed at each end, with dynamic moving contacts at the tube's extremities. These fuse tubes are crafted from an inner arc-extinguishing tube and an outer phenolic or epoxy glass tube, with load-switching models featuring reinforced auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for optimal performance.

In typical operation, the fuse link maintains the fuse tube in a closed position. When system faults occur, the resulting fault current swiftly melts the fuse, causing an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a flood of gas and producing high pressure that propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse melts, the moving contact loses tension, the mechanism locks, and the fuse tube disengages, leaving the cutout in an open position. To switch off under load, operators use an insulating rod to pull the moving contact. Initially, main and auxiliary contacts remain engaged, but as the auxiliary contact separates, an arc forms and extends within the arc-extinguishing enclosure. This process effectively extinguishes the arc as the current drops to zero.
