General
The Drop-out Fuse and Pull Load Drop-out Fuse are designed as indispensable outdoor high-voltage electrical protection devices. Strategically installed on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or within distribution lines, they act as vital defenders against transformer and line short circuits, as well as overload conditions. These devices enable effective opening and co-loading of current. Ingeniously crafted, the drop-out fuse consists of an insulating bracket paired with fuse tubes, where static contacts are securely positioned at both ends of the bracket and moving contacts are affixed to the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself boasts a dual-layer construction, featuring an inner arc tube seamlessly integrated with an outer layer made of phenolic paper or epoxy glass cloth tube. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse comes with added versatility through auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, purposefully designed to ensure smooth current load operations.

During regular operations, the drop-out fuse remains firmly in a closed position with the fuse tube under tension. When a system fault occurs, the fault current immediately blows the fuse, producing an arc. This arc activates the arc tube, which decomposes large volumes of gas, creating high pressure inside the tube and generating a vertical wind path. This sophisticated mechanism efficiently stretches and lengthens the arc. Once the fuse has blown, the moving contact releases tension and moves outward, while the locking mechanism disengages to allow the fuse tube to drop into a breaking position. In scenarios requiring load pulling, an insulating rod is used to pull the moving contact, maintaining a connection with the static contact. With continued effort, the auxiliary contacts separate, forming an arc between them, which stretches within the hood slit. The arc cover, which contains gas, aids in extinguishing the arc as the current reaches zero.

Use and Standards
This exceptional product is meticulously engineered for use in 10 to 35KV distribution lines, including branching lines and on the primary side of distribution transformers. It provides robust protection against overloads and short circuits, while enabling the effective separation and combination of rated load current with precision and reliability.
The comprehensive design of this product adheres to the JB/T8321-1996 Method for AC high-voltage fuse preparation. Furthermore, the product parameters meet the standards of GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses Expulsion fuses requirements. In instances where the standards do not provide detailed definitions of critical parameters and configurations, adjustments are executed following the JB/DQ2139-1986 interim technology requirements for 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses, ensuring supreme performance and dependability.
The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are top-tier outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Expertly designed to connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they are fundamental in protecting transformers and lines from short circuit events and overload conditions, while proficiently managing the on/off load current. The drop-out fuse cutout is comprised of insulating insulator supports coupled with a fuse tube, where static contacts are securely fixed on both sides of the insulator support, and moving contacts are installed at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube itself incorporates an internal arc-extinguishing tube along with an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout also features reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure to ensure efficient on-off load current switching.

In standard operational conditions, the fuse link ensures that the fuse tube remains tightened to maintain a closed position. When faults arise, the fault current causes the fuse to melt instantaneously, initiating an electric arc. This results in the arc-extinguishing tube heating up and releasing a substantial volume of gas, creating high pressure and elongating the arc throughout the tube. Once the fuse link has melted, the moving contact loses tension, allowing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, switching to an open position. For load switching during cutout operations, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact stays engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further pulled, an electric arc forms between the auxiliary contacts, which elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas to extinguish the arc as the current transitions through zero.
