General
The Drop-out Fuse and Pull Load Drop-out Fuse are premier solutions for outdoor high-voltage electrical protection. Expertly engineered for strategic placement on distribution transformers' high-voltage side or as pivotal support elements in distribution lines, these devices excel in shielding against transformer and line short circuits, overload circumstances, and permit seamless current opening and co-loading. Crafted with precision, the drop-out fuse boasts an insulating bracket and fuse tubes, featuring static contacts at bracket ends and dynamic contacts on the fuse tube ends. Its construction includes an internal arc tube with an exterior phenolic paper or epoxy glass cloth tube. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse is enhanced with auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, tailored for smooth current load management.
In typical operations, the drop-out fuse remains securely closed with its fuse tube tensioned. When a malfunction arises, the fault current promptly melts the fuse, sparking an arc. This ignites the arc tube, decomposing vast gas volumes, building high pressure inside the tube, and forming a vertical wind path that elongates the arc swiftly. Post-blow, the moving contact releases, rotates outward, and the locking mechanism disengages, allowing the fuse tube to drop and break the circuit. For load pulling, an insulating rod extracts the moving contact while maintaining static contact. Continued effort separates the auxiliary contacts, creating a stretched arc within the hood slit. The arc cover, containing gas, extinguishes the arc as the current reaches zero.
Use and Standards
This exceptional product is purpose-built for deployment in 10 to 35KV distribution lines, including branch lines and on distribution transformers' primary side. It provides formidable protection against overloads and short circuits while facilitating efficient load current separation and combination.
Meticulously crafted, this product aligns with the JB/T8321-1996 Method for AC high-voltage fuse preparation, adhering to the GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses Expulsion fuses standards. In instances where standards lack detailed definitions, adjustments are made according to JB/DQ2139-1986 interim technology requirements for 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses.
The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are top-tier outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Designed to connect with incoming feeder lines of distribution transformers or lines, they safeguard against short circuit events and overloads while adeptly managing on/off load current. The drop-out fuse cutout consists of insulating supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts on support sides and moving contacts at the tube ends. The fuse tube includes an internal arc-extinguishing tube and an external phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout features reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for effective on-off load current switching.
In standard operations, the fuse link ensures a closed position with the fuse tube tensioned. Upon faults, the fault current immediately melts the fuse, creating an arc. This heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a large gas volume, building high pressure and elongating the arc. After the fuse link melts, tension in the moving contact is lost, the mechanism locks, and the fuse tube drops, opening the circuit. For load switching, operators use an insulating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As pulled further, an arc forms between auxiliary contacts, elongating in the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. The mechanism expels gas to extinguish the arc as current reaches zero.
