The Drop-out Fuse and Pull Load Drop-out Fuse are unrivaled solutions crafted for the protection of outdoor high-voltage electrical systems. These sophisticated devices are masterfully positioned on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or as indispensable support links in distribution lines. They are essential for safeguarding against transformer and line short circuits, handling overload conditions, and facilitating effective opening and co-loading of current. Ingeniously designed, the drop-out fuse features an insulating bracket and fuse tubes, with fixed static contacts at both ends of the bracket and mobile contacts at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube's construction is nothing short of impressive, featuring an inner arc tube complemented by either an outer phenolic paper tube or an epoxy glass cloth tube. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse is distinguished by its enhanced flexibility, equipped with auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, purposefully engineered for smooth current load operations.

In the course of standard operations, the drop-out fuse is impeccably maintained in a closed position with the fuse tube under tension. When a system malfunction occurs, the fault current acts swiftly to blow the fuse, producing an arc. This arc activates the arc tube, leading to the decomposition of substantial gas volumes, creating high pressure inside the tube, and forming a vertical wind path. This extraordinary process rapidly extends and lengthens the arc. After the fuse blows, the mobile contact releases its tension, rotating outward, while the locking mechanism disengages, allowing the fuse tube to drop and reach a breaking position. When the moment arrives to pull the load, an insulating rod is used to draw the moving contact, ensuring continuous contact with the static contact. With persistent effort, the auxiliary contacts part, generating an arc between them, which is then stretched within the protective hood slit. In instances where standards lack precise definitions of crucial parameters and configurations, modifications are adeptly made following the JB/DQ2139-1986 interim technology requirements for 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses.
The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout represent the pinnacle of outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Engineered to connect seamlessly with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they play a pivotal role in shielding transformers and lines from potential short circuit incidents and overload conditions, while expertly managing the on/off load current. The drop-out fuse cutout features insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts securely set on both sides of the insulator support and moving contacts installed at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube includes an internal arc-extinguishing tube paired with an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout further enhances functionality with reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for proficient on-off load current switching.

In routine operational scenarios, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube is meticulously tightened to maintain a steadfast closed position. Upon encountering faults, the fault current acts quickly, melting the fuse and generating a powerful electric arc. This event causes the arc-extinguishing tube to heat significantly, releasing a substantial volume of gas, which creates high pressure and extends the arc throughout the tube. After the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, enabling the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning to an open position. For load switching during cutout, operators must employ an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further pulled, an electric arc forms between the auxiliary contacts, which elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism dispels gas to extinguish the arc as the current reaches zero.
