General
The drop-out fuse and pull load drop-out fuse are quintessential outdoor high-voltage protective devices designed to shield electrical systems with unmatched reliability. Strategically installed on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or as critical links within distribution lines, these fuses are paramount in delivering robust protection against transformer and line short circuits, mitigating overloads, and facilitating seamless open-circuit load currents. Constructed with a durable insulating bracket and fuse tubes, the static contact is meticulously affixed to both ends of the insulation bracket, while the moving contact is expertly mounted on the fuse tube ends. The fuse tube itself boasts a sophisticated design, with an inner arc tube enveloped by an outer phenolic paper tube or a resilient epoxy glass cloth tube. The pull load drop-out fuse is ingeniously equipped with flexible auxiliary contacts and a state-of-the-art arc chute, significantly enhancing operational flexibility during opening or co-load current events.
In normal operation, the drop-out fuse maintains a closed position, with the fuse tube and fuse held securely under tension. Upon system failure, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, generating a potent arc. The arc tube, exposed to the intense heat of the arc, releases a substantial volume of gas, creating a high-pressure environment within the tube. This results in a vertical wind along the pipeline, effectively stretching and elongating the arc. When the fuse blows, the moving contact loses tension, triggering the precision-engineered locking mechanism, which releases the fuse tube, allowing it to drop into the breaking position. To facilitate load pulling, an insulating rod is used to disengage the moving contact while initially maintaining contact with the static contact. Continued pulling with the insulating rod results in the separation of auxiliary contacts, with an arc forming and elongating within the hood slit. The gas within the arc cover plays a crucial role in extinguishing the arc as the current reaches zero, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
Use and Standards
This product is meticulously crafted for application in 10 ~ 35KV distribution lines, branching lines, and the primary side of distribution transformers. It delivers outstanding protection against overloads and short circuits, while demonstrating exceptional capability in handling the separation and combination of rated load currents with unparalleled precision.
The product model strictly adheres to the JB/T8321-1996 Method for type AC high-voltage fuses preparation. It is engineered to meet the rigorous GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses expulsion fuses standards. In instances where standards ambiguously define key parameters and configurations, precise corrections are implemented in accordance with JB/DQ2139-1986 requirements for 10 ~ 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses interim technology, ensuring the highest level of compliance and reliability.
Drop-out fuse cutouts and load switching fuse cutouts are indispensable outdoor high voltage protective devices. Seamlessly integrated with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, they provide vital protection against short circuits and overloads, while adeptly managing on/off loading currents. The drop-out fuse cutout is composed of insulate insulator supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts securely mounted on both sides of the insulator support and moving contacts expertly installed at the fuse tube ends. The fuse tube's architecture is ingeniously crafted, featuring an inner arc-extinguishing tube enveloped by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or a robust epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout boasts enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, expertly designed to manage on-off loading current with precision and efficacy.
Under normal working conditions, the fuse link ensures that the fuse tube is firmly secured in a closed position. When system faults occur, the fault current rapidly melts the fuse, producing an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube and releases significant gas, creating high pressure that propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, the mechanism locks, and the fuse tube drops out, transitioning the cutout to an open position. To switch off during cutout loading, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged, but further pulling successfully disengages the auxiliary contacts, generating an electric arc that elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas to effectively extinguish the arc as the current passes zero, ensuring top-tier safety and operational integrity.
