General
The Drop-out Fuse and Pull Load Drop-out Fuse are pivotal instruments for safeguarding outdoor high-voltage electrical systems. Strategically placed on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or serving as vital connectors within distribution lines, these devices are indispensable for shielding against transformer and line short circuits as well as overload scenarios. They ensure seamless current management by adeptly orchestrating the opening and co-loading of current. Ingeniously designed, the drop-out fuse comprises an insulating bracket paired with fuse tubes. Static contacts are meticulously attached at each bracket end, while moving contacts enhance functionality at the tube's extremities. The fuse tube boasts an inner arc tube ingeniously combined with an outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy glass cloth tube. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse elevates operational flexibility, incorporating auxiliary contacts and an arc chute crafted for effortless current load handling.
In routine operations, the drop-out fuse remains securely in a closed state with the fuse tube under optimal tension. Upon encountering system disruptions, the fault current promptly triggers the fuse to blow, generating an arc. This arc activates the arc tube, causing a substantial release of gas that builds high pressure within the tube and creates a vertical wind path, effectively stretching and elongating the arc. Following the fuse's activation, the moving contact loses its grip, pivoting outwards as the locking mechanism disengages; thus, facilitating the fuse tube's descent to a break position. To manage load pulling, an insulating rod is utilized to engage the moving contact while maintaining its alignment with the static contact. With continued action, auxiliary contacts separate, forming an arc between them that stretches within the hood slit. The arc cover, strategically filled with gas, supports efficient arc extinguishment as the current reaches a null point.
Use and Standards
This elite product is meticulously engineered for use within 10 to 35KV distribution lines, branching lines, and on the primary end of distribution transformers. It provides formidable defense against overload and short circuit situations while facilitating the seamless separation and combination of rated load currents.
This product's refined design rigorously aligns with the JB/T8321-1996 Method for AC high-voltage fuse formulation, and its parameters faithfully adhere to the GB15166.3-1994 standards for high voltage fuses, particularly Expulsion fuses. Where standard definitions are limited, we employ adjustments in accordance with JB/DQ2139-1986 interim technical requirements tailored for 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses.
The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are distinguished as premier outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Ingeniously conceived to connect with distribution transformers' incoming feeders or lines, these devices are paramount in shielding transformers and lines from short circuit and overload incidents, all while adeptly managing on/off load currents. The drop-out fuse cutout consists of insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts precisely positioned on both sides of the insulator support and moving contacts strategically installed at the tube's ends. The fuse tube features an internal arc-extinguishing tube complemented by an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. Further enhancing functionality, the load switching fuse cutout incorporates elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure to ensure efficient on-off load current switching.
Under normal operational conditions, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube's firm closure. When faults arise, the fault current causes the fuse to melt rapidly, forming an electric arc. This process heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing copious gas volume, building pressure, and elongating the arc throughout the tube. After the fuse link melts, the moving contact slackens, allowing the mechanism to unlock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning to an open state. For load switching, operators should utilize an insulating operating bar to maneuver the moving contact. Initially, the main contact holds steady with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact pulls further, an arc forms between the auxiliary contacts and elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, the arc-extinguishing mechanism expels gas to extinguish the arc effectively as the current passes through the zero point.
