Strategically positioned on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or within distribution lines, they provide unparalleled protection against transformer and line short circuits, as well as overloads, while seamlessly managing open-circuit load currents. Featuring a robust construction, each device is crafted with an insulating bracket and fuse tubes; static contacts are securely anchored at each end of the insulation bracket, while moving contacts are expertly positioned at the extremities of the fuse tube. Ingeniously engineered, the fuse tube comprises an inner arc tube, elegantly enveloped by an outer phenolic paper tube or an epoxy glass cloth tube. Designed to excel in functionality, the pull load drop-out fuse boasts agile auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, enhancing its operational flexibility, especially in handling open or co-load currents with finesse.

In the realm of daily operations, the drop-out fuse remains steadfastly closed, maintaining the gentle tension of the fuse tube and fuse. Upon the advent of a system fault, the fault current rapidly melts the fuse, unleashing an arc. The arc's intense heat catalyzes a surge of gas from the arc tube, elevating the pressure within and initiating a vertical airflow along the pipeline, adeptly stretching and elongating the arc. As the fuse blows, the tension in the moving contact is released, activating the locking mechanism, which gracefully releases the fuse tube into its breaking position. For load pulling, an insulating rod is utilized to disengage the moving contact, ensuring its initial union with the static contact remains intact. Drop-out fuse cutouts and load switching fuse cutouts are indispensable for outdoor high voltage protection. Seamlessly integrated into the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or distribution lines, they stand as a bulwark against short circuits and overloads, adeptly managing on/off loading currents with finesse. The drop-out fuse cutout features insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube; static contacts are securely positioned on either side of the insulator support, while moving contacts rest at the ends of the fuse tube. In the realm of standard operating conditions, the fuse link guarantees that the fuse tube remains securely closed. When faults arise, fault currents swiftly melt the fuse, birthing an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a torrent of gas. The ensuing high pressure propels the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses tension, triggering the mechanism to lock, and the fuse tube gracefully drops out, transitioning the cutout to an open state. For switching off during cutout loading, operators employ an insulating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact stay engaged, but further pulling disengages the auxiliary contacts, generating an electric arc that elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Concurrently, the arc-extinguishing mechanism releases gas, ensuring the arc is extinguished as the current gracefully declines to zero.
