General
The Drop-out Fuse and Pull Load Drop-out Fuse represent the pinnacle of outdoor high-voltage electrical protection solutions. With strategic placement on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or as indispensable links in distribution lines, these devices act as vital shields against transformer and line short circuits and overload conditions. They are engineered for precision in facilitating the opening and co-loading of current. Crafted with an insulating bracket and fuse tubes, static contacts are securely affixed at each end of the bracket, while moving contacts are precisely attached to the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube's construction features an expertly designed inner arc tube and a robust outer phenolic paper or epoxy glass cloth tube. Meanwhile, the Pull Load Drop-out Fuse is equipped with advanced auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, offering unmatched flexibility for seamless current load operations.
In regular operation, the drop-out fuse is steadfastly held in a closed position, maintaining the tension of the fuse tube. Upon encountering a system fault, the fault current rapidly blows the fuse, sparking an arc. This arc activates the arc tube, leading to the decomposition of large volumes of gas and creating high internal pressure, which generates a vertical wind path. This intricate mechanism effectively stretches and elongates the arc. Post fuse-blow, the moving contact loses tension and rotates outward as the locking mechanism unlocks, allowing the fuse tube to drop and reach a breaking position. When load pulling is required, an insulating rod strategically pulls the moving contact while maintaining contact with the static contact. With continued effort, auxiliary contacts separate, creating an arc stretched within the hood slit. The arc cover, containing gas, aids in arc extinguishment precisely as the current reaches zero.
Use and Standards
This exceptional product is meticulously tailored for use in 10 to 35KV distribution lines, covering branching lines and the primary side of distribution transformers. It provides formidable protection against overloads and short circuits, ensuring the efficient separation and combination of the rated load current with ease and reliability.
This product's precision engineering follows the JB/T8321-1996 Method for AC high-voltage fuse preparation. It meets the rigorous parameters set by GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses Expulsion fuses standards. In scenarios where standards lack definitive parameters, adjustments are guided by the JB/DQ2139-1986 interim technology requirements for 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses, ensuring adaptability and compliance.
The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are leading outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Connecting seamlessly with incoming feeders of distribution transformers or lines, they provide crucial protection against short circuit incidents and overload conditions while adeptly managing the on/off load current. The drop-out fuse cutout features insulating insulator supports and a sophisticated fuse tube, with static contacts fixed firmly on both sides and moving contacts at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube integrates an internal arc-extinguishing tube alongside an outer phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. Additionally, the load switching fuse cutout is enhanced with resilient auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring efficient on-off load current switching.
Under normal conditions, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains tightened in a closed position. When faults arise, the fault current swiftly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc. This heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing substantial gas volumes, creating high pressure, and effectively elongating the arc within the tube. Following the fuse link melt, the moving contact's tension releases, the mechanism locks, and the fuse tube drops out, transitioning to an open position. For load switching during cutout, operators use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, engagement is maintained with the auxiliary static contact. As further pulling ensues, an electric arc forms between the auxiliary contacts, stretching within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing mechanism discharges gas to extinguish the arc precisely as the current crosses zero.
