Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, enabling the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop into an open position. For load switching during cutout, operators employ an insulating operating bar to maneuver the moving contact. Initially, the main contact stays engaged with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further pulled, an electric arc forms between the auxiliary contacts, which skillfully elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap.
