General
The Drop-out Fuse and Pull Load Drop-out Fuse serve as outdoor high-voltage guardians for electrical systems. Strategically positioned on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or as a pivotal link in distribution lines, these fuses provide exceptional protection against short circuits and overloads, while facilitating seamless current flow management. Crafted with precision, the drop-out fuse features an insulating bracket with static contacts at each end, complemented by a fuse tube that integrates both inner arc and outer phenolic paper or epoxy glass cloth tubes. Moreover, the Pull Load Drop-out Fuse is enhanced with flexible auxiliary contacts and an arc chute designed for optimal current handling efficiency.

During normal operations, the drop-out fuse maintains a secure closed position, thanks to the tension in the fuse tube. However, when system faults arise, the fault current promptly melts the fuse, generating an arc. This arc ignites the arc tube, producing a substantial volume of gas and generating high pressure within the tube. This pressure facilitates rapid arc stretching and elongation. Once the fuse is blown, the moving contact loses tension, triggering the locking mechanism to release and the fuse tube to drop, creating an open position. For load operations, an insulating rod is used to pull the moving contact. Initially, the moving and static contacts remain connected, but as the insulating rod continues to pull, the auxiliary contacts separate. An arc forms between these contacts and extends within the hood slit. The arc cover contains gas, and when the current reaches zero, the arc is extinguished.

Use and Standards
This innovative product is purposefully designed for integration with 10~35KV distribution lines branching lines and the primary side of distribution transformers. It ensures robust overload and short circuit protection while enabling seamless separation and combination of the rated load current.
The design of this product adheres to the JB/T8321-1996 methodology for AC high-voltage fuses. Additionally, product parameters are compliant with the GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses expulsion fuses standards. Although these standards may not explicitly define all parameters and configurations, adjustments are made according to JB/DQ2139-1986 specifications for 10~35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuse interim technology requirements.
Drop-out fuse cutouts and load switching fuse cutouts are cutting-edge outdoor high voltage protective devices. When integrated with the incoming feeder of a distribution transformer or distribution lines, they offer unparalleled protection against short circuits and overloads while managing on/off loading currents. Comprising insulate insulator supports, fuse tubes, and static contacts on insulator supports, these fuse cutouts are equipped with a moving contact installed on the fuse tube's ends. The fuse tube itself is engineered with an inner arc-extinguishing tube and an outer phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is further optimized with reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure, ensuring efficient on-off loading current management.

In standard operational settings, the fuse link keeps the fuse tube securely closed. However, should a fault occur, the resulting fault current promptly melts the fuse link, generating an electrical arc. This arc ignites the arc-extinguishing tube, producing a significant amount of gas and creating high pressure that channels along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, engaging the locking mechanism and allowing the fuse tube to drop, signifying an open position. For switching off during cutout loading, operators should use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main and auxiliary static contacts remain connected. As the auxiliary contact is pulled further, an electric arc forms, which elongates in the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, gas from the arc-extinguishing enclosure effectively blows out the arc as the current reaches zero.
