General
The drop-out fuse and pull-load drop-out fuse are critical outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Perfectly engineered to be installed on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or as the pivotal Support Link of distribution lines, these fuses provide robust protection against short circuits and overloads, all while managing open and co-load currents. Constructed with superior materials, the drop-out fuse features a resilient insulating bracket and durable fuse tubes. Static contacts are securely positioned at both ends of the insulation bracket, while moving contacts are adeptly mounted on the ends of the fuse tube. This innovative fuse tube is a composite of an inner arc-extinguishing tube and an outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy glass cloth tube. The pull-load drop-out fuse is enhanced with flexible auxiliary contacts and an efficient arc chute to expertly handle open and co-load currents.

In regular operation, the fuse tube remains securely in a closed position due to the tension exerted by the fuse. Upon system malfunction, the fault current swiftly blows the fuse, swiftly generating an arc. The arc's powerful energy ignites the arc tube, releasing copious amounts of gas, which creates high pressure within the tube and generates a vertical wind along the pipeline. This mechanism rapidly stretches and elongates the arc. Once the fuse blows, the moving contact loses tension, prompting the locking mechanism to release the fuse tube, subsequently dropping and creating a breaking position. When it becomes necessary to pull the load, an insulating rod is utilized to disengage the moving contact. At this juncture, the moving and static contacts remain engaged. Subsequent pulling with the insulating rod results in the separation of the auxiliary contacts, leading to the formation of an arc between them. The arc is then effectively stretched within the hood slit, with the arc cover containing gas. When the current reaches zero, the arc is extinguished.

Use and Standards
This meticulously designed product is intended for use in 10 ~ 35KV distribution lines, specifically in branching lines and on the primary side of distribution transformers. It offers exceptional overload and short circuit protection, allowing for the seamless separation and combination of the rated load current.
The product model adheres to the JB/T8321-1996 Method of Type AC High-Voltage Fuses. It is crafted in alignment with the GB15166.3-1994 standards for high-voltage expulsion fuses. Although the standards do not explicitly define all critical parameters and configurations, necessary corrections have been made based on JB/DQ2139-1986 interim technology requirements for 10 ~ 35KV outdoor high-voltage drop fuses.
The drop-out fuse cutout and load-switching fuse cutout are state-of-the-art outdoor high-voltage protective devices. They are integral to connecting with the incoming feeder of a distribution transformer or energizing distribution lines. Their primary function is to safeguard transformers or lines against short circuits and overloads, while enabling efficient on/off loading and current management. Each drop-out fuse cutout is composed of robust insulate insulator supports and a reliable fuse tube. Static contacts are affixed to both sides of the insulator support, and moving contacts are expertly installed on the ends of the fuse tube. This sophisticated fuse tube consists of a proficient inside arc-extinguishing tube and an outer layer made of phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass tube. The load-switching fuse cutout features enforced elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure to adeptly manage switching on/off loading currents.

During normal operations, a securely tightened fuse link ensures that the fuse tube maintains a closed position. Should a fault occur within the system, the resultant fault current swiftly melts the fuse, creating an electrical arc. This arc energizes the arc-extinguishing tube, causing it to release a large volume of gas and generate high pressure, which directs the arc along the tube. Once the fuse link has melted, the moving contact loses its tension, leading to a locked mechanism and the dropping of the fuse tube, transitioning the cutout to an open position. When it is necessary to switch off during the cutout loading, an operator uses an insulating operating bar to disengage the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains in contact with the auxiliary static contact. As the operator continues to pull, the auxiliary contact is separated, resulting in the formation of an electric arc between the auxiliary contacts. This arc elongates within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap, with the arc-extinguishing mechanism releasing gas to extinguish the arc as the current passes through zero.
