Our Drop-out Fuse and Pull Load Drop-out Fuse epitomize outstanding solutions for outdoor high-voltage electrical protection. Designed for strategic placement on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or as vital links in distribution lines, they function as essential defenses against transformer and line short circuits, and overload conditions, while facilitating the seamless opening and co-loading of current. These fuses are meticulously engineered with an insulating bracket and robust fuse tubes, featuring static contacts at both ends of the bracket and dynamic contacts at the ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube is composed of a sophisticated inner arc tube paired with an outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy glass cloth tube. The Pull Load Drop-out Fuse is enhanced with flexible auxiliary contacts and an arc chute, exquisitely crafted for smooth current load operations.
In typical operations, our drop-out fuse remains firmly closed with the fuse tube under tension. Upon encountering system malfunctions, the fault current promptly blows the fuse, sparking an arc. This arc activates the arc tube, leading to the disintegration of significant gas volumes, which build high pressure within the tube, creating an efficient vertical wind path. This ingenious process rapidly extends and elongates the arc. Once the fuse is blown, the moving contact releases its grip and swings outward, as the locking system disengages, allowing the fuse tube to drop, reaching a break position. For load pulling, an insulating rod pulls the moving contact while it stays in touch with the static contact. With gradual force, the auxiliary contacts detach, generating an arc between them that elongates within the hood slit. The arc cover, filled with gas, assists in arc extinguishment as the current declines to zero.

This product's precise design conforms to the JB/T8321-1996 Method for AC high-voltage fuse preparation, with parameters aligned with GB15166.3-1994 high voltage fuses Expulsion fuses standards. Where standards lack specifics on critical parameters and configurations, modifications are made per the JB/DQ2139-1986 interim technology requirements for 10 to 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuses.
The Drop-out Fuse Cutout and Load Switching Fuse Cutout are distinguished outdoor high-voltage protective devices. Designed to connect with the incoming feeder of distribution transformers or lines, they serve an essential role in shielding transformers and lines from short circuits and overloads while handling on/off load currents. The drop-out fuse cutout consists of insulating insulator supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts anchored on both sides of the insulator support and moving contacts at the ends of the fuse tube. It includes an internal arc-extinguishing tube with an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout features robust elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for efficient on-off load current management.
Under normal conditions, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains tight to keep a closed position. When faults arise, the fault current immediately melts the fuse, creating an electric arc. This heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing a substantial volume of gas, generating high pressure, and extending the arc within the tube. Once the fuse melts, the moving contact loses tension, allowing the locking mechanism to activate and the fuse tube to drop, shifting to an open position. For load switching during cutout, operators use an insulating operating bar to withdraw the moving contact. Initially, the main contact engages with the auxiliary static contact. As the auxiliary contact is further withdrawn, an electric arc forms between the auxiliary contacts, stretching within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Meanwhile, the arc-extinguishing mechanism expels gas to extinguish the arc as the current reaches zero.
