The fuse tube's design features a sophisticated internal arc-extinguishing tube, elegantly paired with an outer phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass tube. The load switching fuse cutout is further enhanced with elastic auxiliary contacts and an arc-extinguishing enclosure for efficient on-off load current switching.
In typical operational scenarios, the fuse link ensures the fuse tube remains securely closed. When faults arise, the fault current rapidly melts the fuse, generating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing substantial gas volumes and creating high pressure to elongate the arc within the tube. Following the melting process, the moving contact loses tension, allowing the mechanism to lock and the fuse tube to drop out, transitioning to an open position with seamless efficiency. For cutout load switching, operators utilize an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact remains engaged with the auxiliary static contact, ensuring stability.
