General
Our premium drop-out fuse and pull load drop-out fuse are quintessential outdoor high-voltage electrical protection solutions. These fuses are designed to be installed on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or as crucial support links on distribution lines, providing robust protection against transformer and line short circuits and overloads. The innovative design comprises an insulating bracket coupled with fuse tubes, with static contacts affixed to both ends of the insulation bracket and moving contacts installed at either end of the fuse tube. The cutting-edge fuse tube itself is ingeniously crafted from an inner arc tube and an outer casing made of either phenolic paper or epoxy glass cloth, ensuring heightened durability. Our pull load drop-out fuse boasts reinforced flexibility through auxiliary contacts and an arc chute designed to efficiently manage open and co-load current scenarios.
In normal operations, the fuse tube is securely held in a closed position by the tension of the fuse. In the event of a system malfunction, the fault current swiftly blows the fuse, resulting in arc formation. The arc ignites the arc tube, causing a decomposition of gases and creating a high-pressure environment within the tube. This pressure generates a strong vertical wind along the pipeline, effectively stretching and elongating the arc for rapid extinguishment. Once the fuse is blown, the moving contact loses its tension, unlocking the mechanism and releasing the fuse tube to drop, achieving a breaking position. For load pulling, an insulating rod is utilized to manipulate the moving contact. Initially, the moving and static contacts remain interconnected, but as the insulating rod extends the contact, the auxiliary contacts disengage. This disengagement generates an arc between the auxiliary contacts, which is then elongated within the hood slit. The arc enclosure contains gas which, upon reaching a zero current state, efficiently extinguishes the arc.
Use and Standards
This advanced product is expertly designed for use on 10 ~ 35KV distribution lines and branching lines, as well as the primary side of distribution transformers. It provides unparalleled protection against overloads and short circuits, while efficiently handling the separation and combination of the rated load current.
Our product adheres to the JB/T8321-1996 methodology for type AC high-voltage fuses, with product parameters meticulously crafted according to the GB15166.3-1994 standards for high voltage expulsion fuses. In instances where these standards do not explicitly define crucial parameters and configurations, corrections are applied based on the JB/DQ2139-198610 ~ 35KV outdoor high voltage drop fuse interim technology requirements, ensuring consistent excellence.
The drop-out fuse cutout and load-switching fuse cutout are high-performance outdoor devices designed for high voltage protection. When connected to the incoming feeder of a distribution transformer or distribution lines, these devices play a vital role in shielding transformers and lines from short circuits and overloads, while also managing on/off loading currents. The drop-out fuse cutout is ingeniously composed of insulating supports and a fuse tube, with static contacts securely positioned on either side of the insulating support and moving contacts seamlessly integrated at each end of the fuse tube. The fuse tube features a sophisticated design with an internal arc-extinguishing tube and an external casing made from phenolic compound paper or epoxy glass, while the load-switching fuse cutout includes reinforced elastic auxiliary contacts and a specialized arc-extinguishing enclosure for efficient on-off load current handling.
Under standard operational conditions, the fuse link keeps the fuse tube in a closed and secure position. Should a system fault occur, the fault current causes the fuse to melt instantly, generating an electric arc that heats the arc-extinguishing tube, releasing an explosive amount of gas. This action builds high pressure, causing the arc to blow along the tube. Once the fuse link melts, the moving contact loses its tension, activating the locking mechanism which results in the fuse tube dropping out, transitioning the cutout to an open position. For switching off during cutout loading, operators use an insulating operating bar to pull the moving contact. Initially, the main contact and auxiliary static contact remain engaged, but as pulling continues, the auxiliary contact separates, an electric arc forms, and the arc extends within the arc-extinguishing enclosure gap. Simultaneously, the arc-extinguishing gas expels the arc as the current reaches zero, ensuring seamless and safe operation.
